let's put catchweights, peds, damaged fighter issues to the side for a minute.
I hate to hear people say Manny beat a prime cotto, because in order to beat a prime fighter he must have a prime trainer beside him. What I mean is he either has to have the trainer who got him to that level in his career at his side or a trainer of equal or higher caliber.

Cotto had a rookie trainer on his corner at the biggest fight of his life it's equal to have a court appointed lawyer at murder trial.

Cotto ran his whole camp, he was the boss, and when going into big fights you need a trainer who you respect and can get the best out of you.

I don't speak Spanish, but my PR friend told me the only good advice the corner have him was keep the jab popping, but he said after Cotto was in trouble the corner had nothing for him.

If Cotto is an A class fighter and had a D class coach that means Manny beat a B- to C+ Cotto which is far from prime.

For all u who are about to ***** name a ATG or Future/ living legend who didn't have backing from a good trainer!!!

Good trainers and good fighters go side to side in the history books

Pacquaio benefited from Cotto's deteriorated condition. Cotto was not even good to begin with, having been involved in closely-contested matches with American-level opponents such as Corley, Judah, Mosley, Bailey, and a number of other low grade American-level professionals. I can name a number of professionals who would comprehensively beat Pacquaio.

So you're saying if we took the Cotto that beat Mosley, against PAC and they swapped trainers, that PAC would still dominate him that night?
