Close fight for sure. Nobody should have complained either if briedis got the decision IMO. rewatch the fight. Briedis did great work with the jab and landed hard right hands throughout the fight. Took the fight to usyk in the 12 round too and rocked him a bit.

I had the same as you the first time I watched it with a win to Briedis but after a second watch I find myself leaning towards a draw. Both men were winners IMO.

I had Breidis winning by 4 rounds.

I think Briedis was right when he said after the fight that Usyk had promoted himself better, and that the judges gave close rounds to the one they thought was going to be the next star.

It was a very good, competitive and close fight.

To say anyone was robbed when 1 card is a draw and the other 2 seperate the fighters by just 1 round.....lets just say its a bit of a stretch.

I had it one round either way, but given the amount of 50/50 rounds i had i could've easily given it to either by 3/4.

    Hell no, are people crazy?

Usyk clearly won going away, but I wasn't too thrilled with this performance tbh. I thought he adapted well but if a guy like Dorticos or Gassiev hits him with those bombs like Briedis did in the early rounds, that could be trouble.

Also, I think Usyk needs to use his left more. He's so good with it but he utilizes the jab all too much. The jab's great but he got clipped way too much today.

I agree with the pts spread you have got but if your going to be a pro judge you need to get the even rds out of your game and also refrain from making public statements on how you saw a fight.

I got 3 rds scored different from OP.
    But a 7/5 W to Usyk.

Lots of narrow rds with noticable shifts of momentum.

    Overall, yes, Usyk won clear.

But nothing like the snow job of the Alvarez gift draw vs GGG where a few inconsequential resets by GGG cost him the same Rd that he established the pace, distance, and geography for the other 2:30.
Alvarez got EVERY RD he wasn't dominated in and 3 he was by Byrd.
This was a very good fight that was scored about as good as it comes.
Let's celebrate that the right guy won and the cards actually reflected what actually happened. :borra2:

The rds were close but there was nothing close about this fight. Usyk won at least 9 of them. The only dominant rd was the 5 for Usyk. Some of you guys need to pay more attention to what is actually landing. You see punches thrown so you automatically count them as landing. Breidis only landed when he threw straight punches. Most of his stuff were wide swings which fell short or had glove in them. He rarely penetrated Usyk's defence. Usyk defended himself well. I know Usyk missed a lot as well but he still had the better of the clean punches landed. His jab consistently snapped Breidises head back throughout the fight. Anyone scoring this fight close needs a little more training. The judges had it close but this typifies their unwillingness to render an honest decision in front of a vocal home crowd. It seems to happen in every fight these days. The guy who had the draw should try another sport.

But only slightly, and just as crazy as 118/111 Usyk.

I understand an affinity to a certain style, but turning a blind eye to significant momentum swings or giving anything not clearly defined to a fighter or style we like is as bad as being a hater.

I would agree with T. Bellew on this one:
