    Breidis isn't a tiny CW.

I'd say he'd be a top 10/15 HW if he moved up tomorrow.
Gonna catch hell when this is read, but I've got him H2H level with Adamek.
Usyk has a very similar frame as David Haye when he moved up, but with faaaaar better fundamentals, and a seemingly superior punch resistance.

I wouldn't rule him out of out pointing Joshua or Parker and Wilder had moments of trouble with Szpilka, who Usyk is LEVELS above in almost every intangible.

115-113 Usyk. You can get to a draw, but the card could swing to 116-112 Usyk just as easily.

It was a very competitive fight, but it wasn't a close fight. I had it 116-113, but could see it being as far as 118-110 and maybe closest it could be was 115-113.

Briedis only clearly won the 1st and 3rd rounds for me. There were a bunch of competitive rounds but you'd have to give every single one to Briedis to get a draw and I simply don't think he did that.

Fact is in terms of ring generalship Usyk dominated this fight. Briedis started the fight how he wanted the fight to go down. Everyone expected Usyk to box and move more and Briedis would be the aggressor. But Usyk stood with him, traded, countered and from rounds 4 or 5 was the one pushing Briedis back, the one forcing Briedis to abandon his plan to take the fight to Usyk and forced to survive and fight in bursts as Usyk was breaking him down to the body and was the one consistently applying pressure that Briedis could not match.

It was a very good fight and Briedis did much better than expected but doing better doesn't mean he did enough to win. Usyk forced the pace, throwing 269 more punches, landing more in 8 of the 12 rounds.

116 - 112 Usyk, but that fight helped Usyk prepare for the final.....................he will be even better then...............I saw Usyk beat the hell out of Joyce, who is 6 feet 6 inches tall, not only taller than Usyk, but he was much heavier, Usyk easily out boxed him.....................Usyk will be able to fight at heavyweight after he adjusts to the weight.................

Briedis beat Charr easily who is a champion (although probably just in the top 15), so I'd say Briedis is instant top 10.

I think you're stretching your own scoring system if you have Briedis winning this fight. If you gave him every round that could have gone his way then he wins but that would be very inconsistant scoring IMO. You could give him the 9th (or 10th, can't remember which round it was) for nearly taking Usyk's head off with an uppercut at the end despite Usyk outlanding for the first two and a half minutes of the round, but by those parameters you should also have Usyk sweeping the first four because he was consistently landing the cleaner punches of the two.

If you're consistent in how you score a round then you should arrive at the same conclusion as most of us here; a close but clear Usyk victory IMO. I personally gave Briedis every round that I thought he took control away from Usyk's jab and long range counter punching; the 1st, 4th, 6th and 12th. Maybe one of the 9th or 10th too.

I've just rewatched the fight. Usyk won, but I don't envy the judges. :)
The fight itself was crazy. :) It should be a candidate for the fight of the year, but: a) it's January; b) it's wasn't even televised in the US; so no chance. :)

LOL 118-111 BRIEDIS? there is legit no way you can score that more then 114-114 at most.... and that's being VERY generous... 115-113 usyk is the closest anyone should of scored it.

I,too, think that it was a close fight but not as close as...............for example............Gassiev vs Lebedev. Usyk was the rightful victor IMO but it wouldnt argue the toss with someone who had it a draw. However, a Bridies victory wouldnt have been fair to Usyk.

He has a crush on Joshua and it is his way of protecting him from Usyk. I swear the partisan B.S. and intellectual dishonesty in boxing is vomit inducing. Talking to SEC football fans about their teams rival school would seem like childs play in comparison.

I can see 115-113 Usyk. Either 8-4 or 7-5 Usyk. Briedis fought brilliantly, though, and it was a great and fiercely competitive highly skilled affair between 2 very talented fighters.
