I think it's quite common in sport where absolute no-mark personalities have a completely inflated opinion of themselves and their "influence" in their respective sports. Richard Keys earlier this week wrote a blog post on West Ham where he claimed that Graeme Souness and Sam Allardyce asked HIM for advice when offered the manager's job at the club. It's like just no Richard you absolute ****. You're a **** TV presenter who has been carried by a proper football analyst in Andy Gray for years. No one is asking you for advice on anything FFS. Kugan tbf offers a great platform for exposure and that is all. Absolutely nobody cares whether Umar IfL is going to keep doing interviews. The boxing fans don't care if it's Kugan or some other **** doing the interview so long as it's a decent interview.
Not a fan but I would like to see him have a second chance. Reason being two fold a) he was a teenager when those comments were made so I can't make a certain opinion that he actually meant what he said. b) It's been a long time since the last bad remark was reported so that suggests to me he has reformed off his own back. We all make mistakes, If we throw this type of character under the bus then how can we expect society to live and learn, when he clearly seems to have learnt? And if you want him sacked from IFL what else would you like him to do? A sincere apology and a period of gardening leave seems very appropriate at this time for me.
can't lie, tyan booth destroys every pundit/interviewer in boxing when it comes to mic talent. I hope he can build on his platform and make some money from it because the guy is entertaining lmao.
Ne needs to drop the **** jokes first. Has some Issues about women that he needs a slap for. Apart from that I love his
Anyone else could make these remarks, as disgusting as they are, and not lose their jobs. However Umar is in the public light so this makes this situation a whole lot worse. IFl have to decide how much these comments would damage the channel, i.e. if Umar is allowed to stay then IFl automatically are associated with that content. I think in time it all blows over, people might make the odd reference to it just because they don't like Umar but the world keeps turning and last weeks Umar is next weeks someone else. We all love a bit of gossip but once the big fights are in this will be forgotten.
Umar is either a good actor or that was actually a sincere apology. Good luck to him, that is how to conduct yourself when you make a mistake. Take note Tyan
This content is protected This tweet is as offensive as anything Umar posted. If Dwarves or Homosexuals were as sensitive as Scousers are Kugan would be the one making an apology
Umar IFL Umar should be given a pass now, he has apologised, he has accepted he was wrong and it's time to move on and not ruin someone's life or happiness over some words on twitter. He was very young to be fair, if I had Twitter when I was 16-17 years old.. I'd be in jail without the possibility of parole. This digging up old tweets and Facebook posts from years ago and using them to destroy peoples careers, reputations and in some cases lives has to stop, it's really not fair. Young people say and do stupid things, Most of us have done stupid things, said stupid things and behaved poorly in our youth. It shouldn't define you forever or even years later, you should have the chance to mature, move on, learn and grow as a person and if you take away those opportunities from somebody to redeem themselves then we are going to have serious problems. We will have a generation of people who are finished before they have started because of crap they have spouted in a rage, or in a poor attempt at comedy, or for some for attention and some just for the sake of it.
Here's a thought.. Wouldn't it be nice if People were taught not to be backward hateful fekkers a little more in the first place. You know, good old fashioned manners. Instead of having to hear a fake apology from the fekwits afterwards... People acting like it's normal for youngsters to say such vile things in the first place, nah I don't believe it is. Not at all.
The problem is that good old fashioned manners died considerably when social media was introduced into our lives, even people I like behave like morons, my Instagram feed is full of toxic, hateful and just bitter posts. You get people preaching about being nice to one another only to post body shaming stuff days later. I called someone out on it at work and they started crying, the World is f**ked!
It's completely shithouse behaviour mate and never applied fairly. After all, look what the PM of the ****ing country has said before and he's leading the ****ing government ffs.
