The sheer naivity of not cleaning out all his previous social media accounts and posts, when he landed the job on the IFL. Is something that is unbelievable. How can he not expect some sad sack to go through everything he has ever posted and find something that is "offensive". Then use that to take him down? According to a very quick google search, 56% of people over 16 in the Liverpool city region are employed, now you have to presume that these are honest people who work for a living, and don't steal, so that's more than half the population accounted for right there. Of course there are plenty of toerags in Liverpool, but every city has them. Those football fans your mrs stepdad apparently witnessed stealing stuff and causing trouble in pubs, are not a fair representation of the cities population as a whole. That's like basing your opinion of Londoners on the Kray twins and assuming they are all like that.

You’re a good poster but you’re wrong here. The Hillsborough stuff is well publicised, the victims were innocent people and they were let down by policing (and appalling subsequent cover ups, lies and corruption), appalling ground safety, politicians, media outlets etc etc. As Holler eluded to, there is no excuse as to not be educated on the subject. The information is easily assessable. As for the bin dipper references, once again, it’s ironically parochial to stereotype a whole region and you should also be aware that there are several regular top posters on this board who are from the region. I’ve posted this not to have a go, but just to offer an alternative view.
I was being tongue in cheek at the start before giving an example of why Liverpool fans are referred to as bin dippers, maybe I should have been clearer but I thought the subject matter was Liverpool fans and not not just people from Liverpool.
There’s some proper ****s in this thread. Of course Liverpool has its fair share of scallies. However some kids went to a football match and lost their lives that day through no fault of their own. Anyone disagreeing with that fact or finding humour in it needs to take a good hard look at themselves.
Not sure what else they could write to be fair. It hard to tell as it was so far back, but it does look like he was laughing at a quote from an article. So potentially was actually flagging how stupid the comment was.
