According to Steve Farhood, this might be in the works down the line assuming Savigne gets by 15-0 (11) Craig Baker tonight and Stevenson past Sakio Bika on April 4th. As I tweeted Farhood, this may well be the most fireworks we can possibly get from a match-up where the combined age of the combatants is 73. :!: :bbb Both fight tall on the outside. (Stevenson is 2" shorter but has 2" more reach) Both have power. Stevenson has the Kronk training, Savigne the Cuban amateur pedigree. Both have KO losses to journeymen with big pop but losing records (Darnell Boone & Harvey Jolley respectively) - both incidentally, back in 2010, and the sole loss for either man.
don't know too much about Savigne still, I'd rather Stevenson grow a pair of stones and go for unification vs Krusher
I was contemplating this the other day when I was updating my El Don thread, I think Savigne has a huge chance at the KO win here, and I also think Adonis has a huge chance at a KO win here. Who knows but it would be very suspenseful and I'll rooting for the Old Fart Cuban if it happened, but sadly Adonis will probably duck him as well as anyone else with a legitimate puncher's chance.
Well, there is only another couple of high-profile match-ups that fit that bill that I can think of...and one is Hopkins vs. Skoglund, which, yuck...
Savigne was nearly knocked out by a shot to ribbons Richard Hall. 13:13 mark and from 20:14 onwards until the end of the round. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xs5...ard-hall_sport That said, I'd still fancy him to beat the voodoo out of Stevenson.
