Guy gets a lot of hate. But he's only been well beaten by Garcia. Peterson was on drugs, Prescott was a lucky punch. He's got good wins against... Algieri, Alexander, Collazo, Diaz, Juddah, maidana, Barrera and Malinaggi. Its not bad CV.
He has nearly all the tools to be a top fighter, but will never live up to his potential. He is still a very dangerous opponent for any WW and is under rated in my opinion.
What he does he does great but he only fights one way. Ring IQ isnt great, Mayweather would work him out very quickly. Obviously he's chinny.
Barrera, Diaz, and Collazo were all old. Alexander had already lost to Porter and Bradley. He's also nothing special, even with his speed. His ring IQ is poor, as is his defense.
I believe he fights to the level of his opposition. He's good when he wants to be, and bad when he isn't. His shortcoming is he's an inconsistent fighter.
He's been NO LESS THAN TOP 5 of each division he's fought in. Hell....he'd be top 5-10 RIGHT NOW f he went N to 155(the new LMW) lol
ability / potential wise hes's very good. Jab, speed, control of distance etc is good. He's got a bit more power then he's given credit for and has fought plenty of fighters who've never been stopped. His chins an obvious week point, and when he gets tagged he starts brawling for some reason, his inside game isn't good enough either. He's made some strange career choices of late and has turned into a ducker, if it gets him the Floyd fight then fine. But he should of fought DA when he had the IBF belt, and should have fought brook this summer, and should fight more than twice a year. He's the only one at 147 I can see giving Floyd a decent fight if he performs to his potential for 12 rounds, I do get the feeling he'll look good for a few rounds before walking into a counter though.
Pretty good talent wise, but he hasn't fought anything of note in years. His last good performance was against Judah almost 4 years ago, he dominated and stopped an old Judah, that later on went on to lose a close decision to Garcia. However he only has himself to blame for being so inactive and not wanna make the fights the public want to see, Khan v Brook, Khan v Thurman or Pac. If Khan fought the first two mentioned and won, he would gain my respect again and prove himself worthy of an fight with Mayweather. But he talks a lot **** and he is very inactive and when he fights, he doesn't fight good opponents. Algieri was decent win, but he did not look good in during so.
Has huge talent but has major flaws. Not many people have the talent and ability he has and also his natural assets are superior to most, but his flaws are far greater than most other boxers. On his day can beat anyone but he can also be beat by any contender.
You can't outbox him but you may knock him out if you hit very hard but even then its not guaranteed because Maidana couldn't.
he has great handspeed and quickness but has below average power.... he has mediocre skills with low ring intelligence... he has a lion's heart but with a glass jaw... overall: he is just average
