Heard about these two fights so decided to watch them myself...both are on youtube!

Collazo v. Hatton - had it a draw coming into the 12 round, with Collazo just getting the nod, if I had to choose. Then Collazo clearly won the last round...so I have to give the fight to Collazo by at least 1 round...I am not happy with a draw here, because I don't think it was that close, but Hatton winning - no way!

Right...off to watch Castillo v. Mayweather now...

What are your thoughts about these two fights?

Hatton beat Collazo although it was really close.

The first round knockdown giving that round 10-8 saved him, I think the fact that he took a beating in the last round clouds a lot of peoples judgement when judging the fight for the whole 12 rounds.

    Punchstats are some damning indicators.

I thought both Hatton and Collazo had just woken up from comas. Hatton won at least 6 rounds of that fight. At least a draw, or win for Hatton.

I though Castillo worked the body well and won a close fight.

Damn, i didnt tick 2 boxes - idiot!

I scored it 115-113 Collazo but it was close enough to go either way

Thought Mayweather lost a close one versus Castillo, but not quite close enough to fairly go to Mayweather and the scores gave it to Floyd by a wider margin than the 2nd fight! ie it was a gift.

Both should have lost really, not that 1 loss really matters and so it should be called simply 'The Best' instead of 'The Undefeated.'

As a side note, every boxer is involved in close bouts where they get some favouritism and generally it evens out so i dont see why people ***** about it.

Floyd fans go on about Collazo but dismiss claims that Castillo won.

    Hatton boys do the reverse

Who cares? These guys are the best anyway.

Watched Castillo Mayweather and I had Castillo ahead by 2-3 rounds...no way in hell did Mayweather win that...

I might be a poor scorer...but damn! Castillo would have been robbed if it had been given a draw...

On the whole, I would say Hatton was much closer to drawing against Collazo than Mayweather was to drawing against Castillo...

...still, I would say both lost, because a draw would have been unfair to the Champs - Collazo and Castillo. In any case, if it's a draw, the Champs keep their titles - Hatton and especially Mayweather robbed them of those titles...

nah, in my view, neither of these two are unbeaten...

Mayweather fans point out that he wanted nothing more to do with collazo after that encounter. then they cite that floyd took a rematch which he handily won.

good point well made but it was a robbery the first time in floyds case so there was certainly more need for a rematch... the scoring was dodgy, teh punch stats were heavily in castillo's favour, he outworked him, landed more, was the aggressive, was more accurate yet the scores showed mayweather winning comfortably.

hatton won narrowly and the punch stats suppported that, he won the first few rounds, lost the last few, and the middle were mixed, but the knock down in round one tipped it

props for floyd rematching but it was still close, as the scores showed fairly. he didnt hammer castillo in the rematch

if hatton stays at welter he should rematch collazo to erase that tarnish really otherwise it will haunt him

I like how Hatton's poor preparation for Collazo is some how legitimate but Floyd's torn rotator cuff isn't.

Yeah...I wasn't arguing they were not the better fighters or that they were at their best or that they wouldn't have won it on a different day; I was just saying the way I saw the fight, both were beaten...

...I am not that good at scoring fights though...so I added a poll!:good

I scored Mayweather-Castillo I for Castillo. I haven't seen the fight in a long time so I don't know if I'd still think now. I thought Hatton and Collazo each won 6 rounds, with the KD in the first giving Ricky the win.

I'm still picking Mayweather to beat Hatton though.

Regardless of numbers and mere stats.

COllazo won that fight by at least 1 round.
I'm tellin you, watch taht fight and score it on a round by round basis.
Numbers don't mean much- again holding and what not could have seen points doc'd from hatton better as well (no excuses) Even with the lack of fouls, Collazo takes this one.

Castillo I also think beat my guy! Castillo just had his number that night. While Mayweather kept it competitive, i think Castillo earned the win. That was back in Castillo's "hungry days" though. I think Castillo prime beats mayweather (did) and hatton (shot castillo got dropped)

Now, mind you I am not a big castillo fan.
I am however a big Collazo and mayweather fan.
I just try to call it like i see it.

As far as undefeated is concerned, I think not.
