Agree. I would still favor Povetkin but…I see a much, much, narrower win for him. I mean his health and age have stripped him of his amazing skills. I still think Alex will stops him, but it would a little bit harder. And i believe Whyte might be able to last longer. This would have kept him in the fight, maybe beyond the 5th round, but it won't save him from a late (9th or 10th round) KO or TKO.
I just hope Whyte takes a looonnng break after the fight. Just like Dubois who suffered quite a setback in his career.

The only thing I may bet on, if they still allow it, is betting on both fighters to be knocked down.

I won £80 betting on that last year. Seemed like a no brainer at 7/1. It could easily happen again.

Pov is going to hit the floor at least once, Whyte has a glass jaw. Would put a bet on it if it comes back even at 3/1.

because you know shitt about boxing. I am a absolut povetkin fan boy, I dont dislike whyte but I never rated him high. Nether the less I know that pove will get koed in the rematch, he looked like absolut trash to the very moment he threw that punch. It would be absolutely wrong to say that the shot was a lucky one but let’s say he caught a very good moment for that counter. It is not that likely that he will replicate that in the rematch that’s why I can completely understand the odds. Povetkin is also older now and was in the hospital because of cov.

Young pov would slaughter in this, but this pov at 41 post covid is probably gonna lose.

Crazy odds. I'll put on £20.

While Whyte will try to be more prepared for Pov this time there is a clear skill gap. Pov is a very intelligent fighter, Whyte is not. And Pov still has the power to capitalise on Whyte's mistakes.

Yes Pov is well past it and recovering from Covid but he has the skills and power to ktfo Whyte at any time.

Excuses at the ready if Povetkin loses.........

If he's not 100% fit then he shouldn't be fighting..... so if he does lose, let's not be hearing shitty excuses.

Povetkin is as old as Stegosaurus and fresh out of hospital. I can't see him winning.

Wtf are you on about? He looks really good. Strong and trim. Face looks weird, but that's probably just the lighting and the fact it's probably taken after a heavy training session. Majidov is a big guy, but Povetkin doesn't look that small next to him. I'm starting to think he didn't actually have Covid or had very mild symptoms/none at all and used the quarantine excuse to roid up.

Only one in need for excuses are Eddie and Co + Whyte and his fans.
To attempt sell as marquee fight and win:D for top3-4 ranked in different rankings 32 y.o 252 lbs declared prospect fight with 41 y.o 224-225 lbs boxer, ranked even in boxrec below ! Whyte before their fight had happened is shame.

Fact that Pov is over the hill is well known since 2017 th and yeah, even before fight with A.J had happened.
Reminds me recent Pulev fight :D, there at least is excuse in place: IBF had ranked Pulev very highly.
    Unlike boxrec. ;)
Boxrec rankings and The Ring rankings tables in reality always looked more close to reality.

Whyte will not beat A.J or Fury.

Skills never gets lesser with age but body yeah and a lot.
Boxers are aging out of their prime damn faster than laborers because they does have " resource " usage even in periods when they does not fight.
Pov had competed at high level at least since age of 17 and after 20 years he already looked to used too much. :(
36 y.o Pov had easily beated up 37 y.o Pov version, not alone his 40 y.o version.

I'd love to see Povetkin spark him out again.

So what can strip a fighter of his skills? Inactivity? Layoff?

    Skills remains always.
Body gets older and to use skills you need body in prime shape.

Is boxing coach skilled? Yeah. Might he work when he is 60? Yeah.

I a bit surprised how ppl are attempting to sell boxers over the hill as being in prime shape.
History does not confirm this and ppl like Foreman and Moore etc are EXPECTIONS confirming rules and reality.

All kind of sport not only combat sport uses body resources a lot.
Otherwise we had 40 y.o sprinters and marathon runners as current champs, full NBA and NHL with 40 y.o active players.
