Unbiased view: both Pacquiao and Floyd should get thumbs down

If Pac had taken the tests no problem, I don't think you would really be saying Floyd did a "***** move". It's just, it annoyed you that the fight is not happening. It's Floyd's fault.

 

Void does not want to fight Pac. Right after Pac knocked Hatton out in the 2nd round Roach tried to get Void to fight Pac, but Void refused, so Pac fought Cotto, another fighter Void refused to fight. Void now makes up some new rules for Pac to follow for their fight in Void's home town. Pac agreed to take a blood test right after the fight and a urine test as well. Whatever, Pac does not need to fight Void, Pac is #1, not Void. Pac can fight one more or several more fights without fighting Void, he does not need Void. Void appears to be very spoiled, he seems to always get his way. Pac is the star, not Void. Void is void.

 

Right now, it's just annoying. Finalize the contract damn it.

If they don't fight, then I'll be mad at both of them for not being able to come to some sort of compromise and robbing the fans of the fight we want to see.

Mosley, or more appropriately, GBP, refused to have Mosley take random drug tests leading up to the cancelled fight with Judah.

Since that was Mosley-Judah, not a fight the magnitude of this, not too many people cared.

its not even just both guys being at fault, all of these personal vendettas are getting in the way of this fight. We've got Arum vs. Schaefer, Arum vs. Mayweather, Freddie vs. Roger/Sr., oh yeah I forgot about the actual fighters. Pacquiao CAN take these tests-- the whole "it will weaken me" crap is bogus and Pac knows it, but everything up to this point has just been posturing and ego.

Team Pac have got this mentality that Mayweather asking for Olympic testing is "bullying" and we don't want to be bullied. Floyd wants USADA to regulate testing, well we want to set our own terms to testing and if not we'll take you to court and really show you whos boss. Its all about how can we "1-up" you and its petty.

These new rules came from Mayweather Jr. at a time when Pac already signed and ready to prepare for it. So the one that ruined it isn't exactly Pac and Pac isn't the one trying to implement new boxing rules for one fight. Let's face it, if they accept it here then MANY other fighters will do the same in the long run to **** on possible fights to make. I think Mayweather only wants to return to fight easy fights, make quick easy money and take off. I don't think he even gives a **** about legacy anymore and probably knows it's nearly impossible to counter what Pac did. If he wants to counter what Pac did he needs to move up to Middleweight for his 6th division world title then all the way to super middleweight for his seventh. We all know super middleweight is packed with serious, big, strong, skilled, and powerful talent while middleweight has one tomato can named Pavlik who's ducking welterweights rumored to move up to middle.

Random testing, like Team Mayweather is proposing (obviously not on the day of the fight, but up to a few days before it) is better for the sport, but it should come from the commissions, not the fighters.

Then you get **** like what's happening now, dragging on the negotiations, turning **** into a soap opera and circus, rather than the fight being official which it should be right now. It's annoying.

Judah tried to have random drug tests for his cancelled fight with Mosley, but it didn't work, because he has no leverage. GBP basically told him to shove it, but of course they defend Floyd now. The "names" and "stars" of the sport have more power to pull more **** like this, whether it be making a guy come down a full division to defend a title or fighting a SMW title bout at 162 (Leonard), charging massive fees if you're overweight (Pacquiao), stricter drug tests (Mayweather), or whatever.

But no matter what happens here, fighters will argue for things in the contract to their liking, and the bigger name fighters with more leverage will be the ones who actually get some of these things in their favor.

I can't see **** like this changing just because Pacquiao agrees to more strict drug testing.

Pacquiao's side has already agreed to an unprecedented amount of blood testing. The only point of contention is a cutoff date close to fight night, but Team Mayweather refuses to budge.
