I don't know if it would be easy but yeah he could beat him.

He was getting pieced up by Povetkin… to me lost 5/6 rounds before the stoppage, that bout I don’t think he moved his head once.

I'd say Joshua is so fundamental for a focused Young he's going to have a hard time landing

Young’s style would bamboozle Joshua throughout the entire fight. I haven’t seen anything from Joshua that would make me favor him over Young.

In a 12 rounds fight I'd lean slightly towards AJ.
In a 15 rounder the odds swing towards a Jimmy Young verdict.

First off.....Jimmy Young would never be an opponent selection for the Joshua braintrust. Even if he gets the W, he will look bad getting it. Could very well be a controversial decision if he did get the win.

This is a big problem in the land of multiple titles. A guy like Joshua can give up a belt and not meet a mandatory. Just go and fight someone else that is an easier matchup. Go after a face first guy and not a defensive whiz.

Jimmy had a very effective counter right hand. Sometimes a lead and he could use it w/ a lot of effectiveness. He had both Foreman and Ali reacting to his feints--and they were hard guys to feint. I have zero doubts Joshua reacts to his feints after getting hit with a few right hands. But with Anthony, he would lean way out of the way and go off balance. Be a lot better if he was adept at making a guy miss by an inch. I think he bends at the waist and might even move his feet as well just reacting to those feints of Jimmy.

Lol Brain trust is a really funny term for a manager… the thing with Joshua is, he just didn’t move his head that I noticed, I think that Jimmy could hit him a lot because he just did that amateur thing where he threw a jab when he didn’t know what to do but on the other end of the spectrum Young could just do nothing instead in his turtle guard sometimes idk man.

@greynotsoold which one of these two pretty irrelevant and far from great boxers do you think takes it? The guy who moved too much or the guy who didn’t know how to move his head?

AJ always faced his mandatories tho, including Usyk, even better boxer than Young.

There is no reason that Joshua should lose to Jimmy Young, which doesn't mean that he wouldn't.

So you think a fighter with non existent head movement can beat Young? - I think so, I watched AJ vs Povetkin and I was shocked how bad Joshua was from memory, or perhaps AP is just better then I remember.
