Uncontroversial Opinion: I think Ennis beats Crawford and Spence

With all do respect lipinets isn't a bum but let me see him in with someone with a better skill set who will bring the fight to him. He could easily past the test I just want to see it.

 

Right? Jesus. Pretty confident Spence and Crawford would make short work of Ennis' entire resume. I am high on Ennis too but boxing fans seem overly emotional and have extreme recency bias.

 

Crawford and Spence are top 3 p4p fighters. That Ennis would be 50-50 in fights with them says a lot. I honestly think ESJ is praying Charlo wins so he can go make that fight instead.

 

My earlier assessment of this fight was that Clayton was not a step up from Lipinets, but a similar caliber of opponent since they had a draw.

This fight didn’t prove that much. I want to see Ennis in there with better opponents. I want to see how his defense holds up again better guys and I’ve seen holes in Ennis’ defense.

 

Ennis has the feel of a miniature Prime Roy Jones. And that’s probably the best fighter I ever saw at his apex. Of course he could lose to Errol or Bud, I’m just saying he gives me Prime Roy vibes. And that’s a compliment of the highest order.

 

Again, we need to see him with better and stronger opponents to see if he can "roll" with the stronger punches of better fighters. If Crawford hits Ennis, it's going to hurt even if you roll with it.

 

Oh. Yes. Of course. We need to see him in with the 2 top 3 p4p fighters before we judge him hahaha.

 

How about just someone in the top 10?

People are not asking for a lot here. Lipinets and Clayton are his best opponents and they're nobodies at 147.

well he’s Spence’s mandatory now. Let’s see if he fights him. Errol is gonna dump the belt and say nah no thanks I’m going up to fight Charlo if he wins. So hopefully Charlo loses so Errol is force to stay and fight Boots.

 

Ennis doesn't beat Crawford yet and only has a small chance against Spence. A year from now, when he is a year better and they are a year older, he may beat both of them.

 

And they have a small Ennis.
