Bute is hardly a hype job, there have always been question marks over just how good he is.

He may well go onto to prove to be one of the top SMW, he just ran into a truck tonight.

Bute's a good champion, Froch is just better.

We tend to take away credit for wins by calling the loser a hypejob etc. He exposed the flaws in Bute's style that's for sure.

Bute's beaten some good names, he's a skilled fighter. I personally don't know if he can come back from that tonight. It was so one sided and Froch walked through his shots so not only will he question his chin but also his power. People will now look at Bute in a different light.

 

i think bute took froch lightly due to the nature of wards one sided victory over him.

that was gutsy stuff from froch.

will be interesting to see where bute goes from here...

 

At least Lacy had a chin and knew how to survive. Bute wasn't just schooled, he was thrashed within an inch of his life!

 

I think being outboxed as much as Lacy was was just far worse, he was exposed [overused word but very applicable here] as severely limited boxer.

Bute was beaten by a better and stronger man. He was KOed but I feel wasnt ouboxed to the extent that Lacy was, he was quite simply just taken out. Calzaghe Lacy was like a 5 bout amatuer in an open class tourney.

 

Bute would have beat Lacy in my humble opinion.

 

Well Lacy was the defending ATG hypejob of the recent era, tonight was a passing of the torch to Bute. Lacy's spirit had been trapped in the UK since 2006, now he can finally go home to Florida :yep

Bute is the new king.

 

Got to aay Bute's performance was terrible, he looked,like ann average fighter in there. He is a hypejob no question

 

The manner of Butes defeat last night will be every bit as damaging to him as the beat down Lacy received.

Neither are easy defeats to come back from, and I think now Butes aura is gone, his career might end up going the same way as Lacy.

Bute was the metaphorical David Nugent. Looked sensational in the Championship, expected to be the dominant striker for England, and even picking up international honours whilst still playing at the lower level... stepped up into the Premier league and flopped badly.

 

I think he has to be considered a hype job to be honest. The manner of that defeat was just too emphatic for any other conclusion to be drawn

I don't think people who automatically lose their 0 are 'exposed' but if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and qucak likes a duck....

I'm pissed even though I won alot of money yesterday, because I told everyone whod listen that at work etc that Froch would banjo this guy and I talked myself out of backing him to win inside 6 rounds

 

Bute is not a hype job you stupid ****s. Froch just proved how good he is or can be. bute wasn't a hype job before was he?
