Uncrowned Champions of the early 20th century...

    Was just reading through some books and article about Jim Driscoll, the best British fighter to never officially be crowned champion, even though he out boxed Abe Attell, thanks to the NY no decision era...

    Any other famous examples of challenegers getting robbed during this period?

    Joe Rivers arguably should have beaten Ad Wolgast by knockout for the lightweight title.

    Dave Shade arguably should have walked away with the welterweight title.

    Love the ending to that bout....


    As for the thread, Uncrowned is very subjective, I think most consider Driscoll a World Champ.
