Harry Simon, beat Winky Wright, was unbeaten and a 2 weight world champion, was reports he might fight Hopkins in the summer of 2002, but then was involved in a serious car crash and was stripped of his title due to being unable to defend his title due to injuries and was eventually jailed for culpable homicide because he was deemed to have been the one responsible for that accident.

Did Terry Marsh not retire due to being diagnosed with epilepsy?

Politicians and judges should have mandatory retirement at 65.

His career basically ended with Jirov. He then had two years off and never faced anyone even remotely dangerous again.

Wlad, Vitali, Sanders, Byrd. Instead Lewis did his best to fight Kirk Johnson. When that couldn't happen, he let his mommy make him retire.

People criticize him for going down 3 times against Jirov, but what people fail to realize. Is the 1st punch was an illegal rabbit punch, and that punch seemed to trigger the brain injury. Because after that Mesi was visibly in distress.

Sanders lost to Rahman in 2000 which pretty much killed off any opportunity of him facing Lewis, then Lewis fought Rahman who beat Sanders so i don't really see your point, had Sanders beat Rahman then you'd have a point.

Lewis fought Tyson instead of Byrd again i don't see the issue there, Byrd was not a fan favourite and was not impressive in any of his title defences. Lewis was coming towards the end of his career and wanted big money fights. Would Lewis's resume look better had he not fought Tyson instead of Byrd ? i don't think so.

Lewis vs Wladimir was never discussed to my knowledge.

Sanders was still plenty dangerous and Lewis avoided lefties. Lewis also lost to Rahman. Why was Lewis creaming his jeans to fight Kirk Johnson, who had previously lost to Ruiz?

Sanders lost to Rahman by stoppage so his stock went down after that, and Lewis fought Rahman instead who beat Sanders. Sanders wasn't even ranked in the top 10, until his major upset win over Wladimir by which time Lewis had retired.

Johnson lost to Ruiz by DQ in a fight he was winning, most people thought the DQ was bogus so it didn't hurt his reputation too much. And unlike Sanders he was still rated in the top 10.

Rankings are for sale, as witnessed by Fury looking to defend against Charr.

Well that's your opinion i'm just telling you how it is, if Sanders had beaten Rahman then you'd have a good case. But Sanders lost to Rahman and his stock plummeted, and it wasn't until his major upset win over Wladimir that his stock went up again.

Now would i of liked to have seen Sanders vs Lewis ? absolutely. I think Sanders posed a interesting style for Lewis to deal with. But unfortunately for Sanders he lost to Rahman which ruined his chances of that happening.
