Sam Soliman win tells us Wade is world class, but how good Wade can he give GGG his first L :think

I am looking at Wade & he seems to be a very tough forward pressure fighter with decent power & a confident calm authoritarian aura about him. This one can turn out interesting, he doesn't seem like a guy who will just fold under GGG power :smoke

    I suppose anything is possible.

More likely though that Wade needs advertising on the soles of his boots.

    No he can't.
Wade got beaten by Soliman for crying out loud, and only the crooked US judges made sure he got the win anyway.

Of course there would always be that remote possibility of devine intervention, but in this case he's coming up against the triple god himself.

Sam Soliman should of won that fight, but I'll never try hard to discredit any fighter that's reached this far on the world stage, they've achieved much more than I have in my boxing career haha.

But really, it's a blowout, Wade has nothing for GGG that he hasn't seen or destroyed before.

There's nothing really for GGG @ 160, I love him to death, but I guess I don't really care much about unifying the belts if it's all just blowouts (and despite nay-sayers, the fact that EVERYONE at 160 is perceived as a blowout does say a lot about the man, and the fact he is ELITE). He'll destroy any fighter at 160, that's a fact. I wanna see him @ 168 vsing DeGale, Jack, Dirrell, etc, I know they're not A++++ elite, but proving that he can destroy bigger men on his boxing ability alone will do a lot for his legacy, considering he's average-small for MW.

Tho, that said, you'll never see me rag on the dude like some belligerent idiots do in this forum, I have utmost respect for him and his choices. If he never steps up, I won't criticize him for it, maybe I'll be disappointed that I never saw him reach his ceiling, but he's already proven to me he's elite. He just hasn't proven how far that caps out and how high you can possibly rank him (I've already got him within my top 15 MW of all time, realistically within the top 10.)

Did Wade get bitten by a radioactive spider or something? Perhaps bombarded with Hulk inducing gamma radiation? Or maybe he has kryptonite rods in his bunghole, and plans to pull them out for this fight? (something must be stuck up there to not be able to outmove a one legged 40+ year old)

No seriously, the fight is ****, IBF rankings are **** and HBO should have told em to goto Europe with it or else made Gonzalez/Estrada II and put this easy KO on the undercard.

It's a good thing the mandatory was Wade because Haymon has no problem making him the sacrificial lamb, if it were Antoine Douglas I doubt this match would have been made so easily.

Is the Douglas-Soliman fight going to be broadcasted?

One of the biggest reasons I guess is that most mandatories got their position due to pull from powerful promoters.
    A lot of fights for mandatory positions are;
    1) a prospect vs some hasbeen or neverwas, in which the prospect doesn't even always win or gets a gift (like Wade)
    2) a hasbeen vs a gatekeeper type.
    3) a hasbeen vs a hasbeen.
    4) that one deserving guy finally reaching the top spot.

in most cases this will end up with some undeserving dude being the mandatory, and only if the guy is either a top class prospect or the #4 option it would deliver an actual quality contender.

Damn! There's fights on HBO plus the stacked UFC card, awesome night of fights! Douglas is going to have his problems with tricky Sam, but he beats him in convincing fashion! That dude has the goods!

Damn I forgot Ortiz-Thompson was on the same night.:patsch

Douglas beats Sam with relative ease, he's the real deal, although he was a bit tentative against Eggington, and I don' know why.

I almost hope Pinoy doesn't add Harrison-Guerrero, that has potential upset written all over it.

Not just Ortiz-Thompson, but Vargas-Ali is the opener!:good Guerrero has a chance, he's got some talent and I don't think highly of Harrison. So an upset is very possible. But it's a good fight and I hope pinoy does put it on, why not!:deal
