People seem to forget that Cotto's body attack was devastating at the lower weights. Hatton does not win that battle.

Hatton gets beat by a quick counter puncher.

Styles makes fights , he outworks Cotto is a pretty one sided affair.

Cotto was the better technician, even at 140. Cotto lost to good fighters but never got Ko'ed. Even after he looked like he got hit by a train (or concrete building) in the Margo fight, he was still fighting. I see Hatton getting koed by one of Cotto's jab. And I'm a Hatton fan.

cotto is more technically sound but he does break under pressure especially back then and that exactly what hatton had by the boatload

safer bet is to go with cotto so thats what id do

Cotto, has more skill, arguably stronger. The combination of the both would of been too much for ricky to handle.

This to an extent. Alot of fans on here are thinking of a stronger Cotto at a higher weight. He was not strong and he was chinny at 140.

I have to go with Hatton. He will hug Cotto to death.

Pressure and volume, while it's one-dimensional on paper, can be Cotto's ultimate nightmare. When he's totally pressured, without plaster of paris of course, he's forced to work more and that inevitably drains his stamina and leaves him open for clean shots. This is a 50/50 fight in my personal view.

pressure yes from guys like margo in first fight and manny pacquaio

Hatton has nothing like the power and speed of Pac cotto succumbing to pac is not a big deal

Cotto's jab stabilizes Hattons' herky-jerky, grab n' hook style. Breaks him down with left hooks to the body. Cotto tko9
