I understand the point you are trying to make, I'm not trying to say Manny is a shitty guy, I was simply sharing why I suspect him of cheating, and why I feel the way I do about it. That being said, Andy Pettite is a stand up guy, he is a Christian man, good family man, good father, by most accounts a good teammate, etc he was caught cheating. I don't consider these guys that are caught cheating as "bad guys" necessarily, being nice has little to do with my reasoning, I see what I consider obvious patterns of behavior that lead me to question whether he's being honest, and no matter how nice or humble he may be it doesn't change the fact he's been dishonest on multiple occassions about the agreed upon testing, he soundly rejected the tests initially, then imposed the cut offs that changed after being caught up in multiple deceptions in terms of the reason why said date had to be the cut off point, was corrected by the arbitrator for misleading the public through misinformation, and all this from a Innocent man? They could have just as easy said "Test? Yeah no problem, I have nothing to hide", instead he took the approach I've tried to illustrate in this thread and that seems more reasonable to you? That an innocent man would go through all this trouble to look more guilty, as opposed to simply taking the tests and proving he's clean and being done with it? But I conceed he's a pretty nice cat, he's a humble dude, and I like that he "reps" his country and takes care of the homeland. Not to mention he's a helluva fighter and I wish that his fans could allow me to acutally enjoy watching him.

There is a pretty straightforward way of looking at things that I believe makes sense of all the hemming and hawing about the blood testing and cutoff dates. He really doesn't like having his blood drawn, and had a previous experience where he felt it weakened him. We also know that he was perfectly fine with unlimited urine testing. So clearly there was an issue specifically with the blood testing, not simply drug testing as many Floyd fans like to argue.

Manny has stated that if the commission ordered him to submit to random blood testing, he would comply. So there is a component of who is demanding the testing. There are also reports of Pac sparring hard after giving a blood sample during training 20 days before the Clottey fight. I think this should be evidence that he is not experiencing the same weakness he did at lower weights, when he was draining himself. This explains why he would be willing to move the cutoff date to a shorter one.

When you take Pac's statement about not liking to give blood too close to a fight at face value, everything makes sense. If you instead start with the premise that giving blood can't possibly weaken a grown man, or there is too much money to be made not to test, I can see how Pac's reluctance to give in would lead one to suspicion.

  3. Floyd said that he'll get out of the game before there's a chance he'll lose. Pacquiao is that chance. What happened? Floyd went on to take a "vacation," beat down his ex-*****, and then claim that he doesn't have the "urge".

    End thread.

Hmmm...could be right..maybe, maybe not...This boxing writer seems to agree with that sentiment, a piece from his mailbag:

Bread I was in Vegas last week. I hear that Floyd Sr. is holding up the fight between May and Pac, is there any truth to that?

Bread's Response: I believe there is plenty of truth to that. I personally heard Big Floyd say to an internet writer that I don't want my son to fight that man. I believe he does not think it's a good fight for Floyd because of the southpaw stance and that Lil Floyd may not be able to keep up with Manny. I also know that Big Floyd believes that his son has slipped ever so slightly. I really think it's that simple. Big Floyd does not like the fight and Lil Floyd honors and respects his opinion. All of the other stuff is brought up to throw us off the scent. I respect Big Floyd. The reason being is that he really loves his son. Most would throw their kid in there for the money at hand. But Floyd knows what a loss would do to his son mentally and his love for him is priceless. I really respect that. I just don't like the attacks of Manny's character. Big Floyd does not have to assassinate Manny's character just because he thinks Manny can beat his son.

hahaha you're ******ed...that quote has nothing to do with Manny he's been saying that since he was in his early 20's. It's smart, how many boxers really pack it in with their smarts and health in tact? it's shame how many fighters suffer from sticking around when they shoulda got out, from a fighting family I'm sure Floyd understands that but my bet is that money issues force him to extend his career or make some ridiculous comeback attempt after years away.

Obviously, you are the ultimate authority when it comes to brains...perhaps you should go start another thread about sucking cocks for money and the such, as it's more in line with what you know best.
