So what do you think if "Gvozdyk" Beterbiev entered the fight at 191lbs? However you answer; I'll accept that.
Please. Beterbiev can go around beating up guys like Anthony Yarde and Joe Smith Jr, but Joe Louis was KOing bonafide killers like Abe Simon, Tony Galenta, Bob Pastor, Johnny Paycheck, and he even went the distance with Jimmy Bivins. But he especially loved having his way with upstart light heavies that got a little too full of themselves and thought they could mix it up with the HWs. This would be a slaughter, and not even mentioning how Louis felt towards Eastern Euros after everything he saw in the war. Beterbiev is nice for today's era. It's fun talking about him and Canelo .....but let's not get ahead of ourselves and just keep Louis off the table on this one
Majority will say Louis but Beterbiev has a better shot than most people think, it's not "easy" fight for Louis.
Gvozdyk claim to fame is beating a 41 year old Adonis Stevenson and he made a grand total of 1 title defence before getting semi retired by Beterbiev. Gvozdyk is not in Louis's league and would get a similar treatment.
Joe Louis must’ve been seriously green when he weighed under 190, it seems like he weighed under that until late 1934. He only had about 7 fights before he began weighing over 190. Still not comfortable favouring Artur though, Joe was still about a year away from butchering Baer and Carnera in some of his best showings.
