    It's interesting, because perhaps a better Charles could've won. The idea that a better, more mobile Charles could win would still be tough to digest considering how dominant Marciano was in the latter part of the fight. Marciano had the tank and was machine like once he got going. Charles could lose, but perhaps by an even tighter decision. Rocky camp began 6 months before the fight, so he did have to fight his way back into rhythm during the fight. I have to favor Rocky peak for peak.

    He did not beat a Prime Charles. He beat a very good Charles, but not the 1948 Cincinatti Cobra

    Rocky by 2 wins to nothing,... 1 by pts 15 and one by KO after about 7 successive blows after having his own nose split in half and losing pints of blood...... I think a fight between these two (however unlikely)..... would turn out like that.
