don't see conn replicating the success of tunney. a prime dempsey was faster on his feet than louis, more aggressive from the beginning and would smother and bury conn in punches

Conn was terrific against Louis but would Dempsey's faster pressure be his undoing? I think there's a chance that Conn would befuddle Dempsey and make him look poor for a while, but in the end you have to favour the heavyweight champion, not the light heavyweight champion.
