    So you're saying significance is the only gauge as to how good the win is??

    Would you consider Holmes' win over Ali greater than Holyfield's over Bowe - just out of interest?

    Thats easy. Marciano beat a legendary Champion, thought of even at that time, thus vaulting himself into the National spotlight and placing himself solidly into top contention from relative obscurity, and directly onto the path of greatness in his own right as Heavyweight Champion of the World.
