Both Jamie Moore and Ryan Rhodes spring to mind.

I always tipped Rhodes to be a big star and a definate world champion but it just never turned that way for him,strange career he had.

 

He has more than enough talent to be the top dog outside the Klitchkos, he could be our own heavyweight version of Carl Froch. Instead all we get is announcements about nothing, cancellations, Toegate, and the occasional average performance in the ring against average to reasonable opponents. (Wlad was the obvious exception, but Haye bottled it).

If Haye's not careful he'll end up lagging behind Tyson Fury, legacy wise. It's a real shame to see talent like Haye go to waste .

 

I remember watching it at the time and thinking, This isn't going to end well for the lad, sure enough he gets banjo'd in a couple of minutes.

 

I think Floyd Mayweather could fall into this category.

He has/had the ability to go down as the undisputed king of the 2000's so far... instead he lags behind, probably in 3rd place behind Pacquiao and Hopkins.

I wonder if, one day when he's old and addicted to crack like his old man, whether he'll regret some of the decisions he took, the things he did (or rather didn't do).

 

I agree.

He is a freak show these days who will be remembered for what he didn't do than what he did do.
