In his 19th fight Jim Jeffries stopped Gus Ruhlin ,between the 5th,and 6th rounds,Jeffries had damaged Ruhlin's ribs enough , so that he promptly lost all appetite for war. His corner tossed in the towel between rounds. Glimpses of this fight can be viewed on You Tube. IMO, Jefffries looks quality here,he is aggressive and ,hunting Ruhlin. Ruhlin , shows impressive mobility, but Jeffries walks him down. Ruhlin was a match for Jeffries in size at 200 lbs and more experienced with 37 fights under his belt This is an underated, yet major win for Jeffries ,imo.
This fight saw a significant change in Jeffries style. He seems to have become more agresive and less reactive. It was comented on at the time.
