Didn't realize it was this weekend and after checking out the undercard i'm shocked, its amazing.

Kavaliauskas 12-0 vs Deniz Ilbay 15-0 Good step up for both undefeated prospects

Ponomarev 29-0 vs Brad Solomon 26-0 same thing

Gvozdyk 9-0 vs Nadjib Mohammadi 37-4 Huge step up to world class for the LHW prospect

Jose Ramirez 16-0 vs Perez 25-11 soolid stay busy/learning fight

Oscar Valdez 18-0 vs Gradovich 21-1 Great step up to world level and title contention

Gilberto Ramirez vs Abraham - first title opportunity and world level fight

Absolutely stacked good to see Top Rank doing right by their prospects putting them on a big undercards in very respectable fights that will take them to the next step in their career if victorious. They need to do it more consistently 2015 was abysmal.

Unfortunately Gvozdyk, Ponomarev and Kavaliauskas won't be on the actual PPV.:verysad

Obviously they can't air 7 fights and it would be more appropriate to show the Gvozdyk fight than Ramirez but they're catering to the latinos. They'll still be filmed and the card is spectacular.

I agree this is by far the best card this year.
I hope the undercard-fights will be shown for free again on the TR Website.

Boxing really needs more vehicles especially for prospects whether it be some online medium or Boxing After Dark type platform. Valdez, Gvozdyk, Ponomarev would make an excellent BAD card.

Yeah I know, but couldn't HBO put them on HBO2 or HBO Latino its not like it would hurt them all that much, what would people be missing out on.... replays of Real Time with Bill Maher or Vinyl, I'm sure no one would be mad since they're on 20 other times a week anyway.:verysad

I like some of these, except Ponomarev 29-0 vs Brad Solomon 26-0. Both of these guys raise some red flags. Sure they are both undefeated, but usually I like to see undefeated guys fighting at the world class level after they've had that many fights. One of these guys is already 29 for Christ's sake. Also, one is the size of your average middleweight and the other is super middleweight size, but they both have almost no knockouts. Guys that big fighting at welterweight at a regional level should have about 80 % KO records not 45 and 35 %. Unless these guys are defensive wizards, they are both probably featherfists who would get their skulls handed to them fighting people their own size.

I'll second that. Although, I recently caught an episode of Vinyl and found it to be alright. Real Time used to be better, but it's still decent too.

I love Vinyl, its a great show, but one or two airings will do, if people want to see it, that's what OnDemand is for. Real Time is still good but I'm really getting sick of politics in general this year.:hang
