I still think Sugar Ray Leonard beating Marvin Hagler was a massive upset given it was Leonards first fight at middleweight and his long lay offs.

i think darchinyan vs mijares is a good one. mijares was a big favourite to beat vic that night but got dominated and knocked out in nine.

I don't know why this guy gets so little recognition for not only beating Chavez but also knocking him down in their first fight.

I personally think he was screwed in the rematch.

Anybody know what his life was like after the second Chavez fight?

Tyson vs Douglas: Tyson was just impossible to beat.

Pac vs Barrera: Noone has demolished the great Barrera just as what Pac did.

Pac vs Dela Hoya: Why? Go back in time...Pick your 100 boxing experts that comes to your mind. Ask their opinion about the outcome. If ever one of them gets it right, I bet you'll even call him Nostradamus.

Junior Jones ****ing stretched Barrera. I don't think I have ever seen Barrera as 'out of it' as he was in that fight. I think Pac fought the more rounded, more hardened, version of Barrera, but he didn't have him out like Poison did.

Would you believe me if I said that I said that de la hoya would probably quit around the 8th or 9th round?

Reading back, it depends on what your definition of 'demolished' is. Pac systematically broke Barrera down, beat him to a pulp, and stopped him. Which is pretty much a demolition if ever there was one. Jones on the other hand, just caught him with a great shot and MAB never recovered. And that is probably less of a demolition, depending on what your definition.

So in that sense, maybe you were right in your original statement. Just offering an alternative view.

Plenty of people picked Pacquiao to win. It's not like absolutely everyone said he was gonna get starched as some people would have you believe

I would prob'ly believed when you said that Pac would KO him around 8th-9th round. There's always a lucky punch. But saying delahoya would literary quit against Pac before round 9 is kind of out of possibility.
