Michael Spinks beating Larry Holmes no one gave Spinks a chance this was at a time when every LH had gotten kod when moving up to fight the LH champ... I was shocked as most people were... Many knew Holmes was on the downside, but he was still the MAN in the HW division, and no one thought Spinks would be the one.

Also SRL when he came out of retirement to beat Hagler.. Huge upset i thought Hagler was gonn akill him.

Iran Barkley when he kod Hearns in the first fight... Barkely was known as a rough fighter and solid contender but also flawed.. Hearns was still considered one of the Best pfp fighters and still elite. Barkley took a beating and just when they were about to stop it he landed a hail mary on Hearns.

I was actually thinking of who Barrera was at the time he fought Pac who was just unknown. Pac was just too good for Barrera that night. Anyway, you explained it better than what I wanted to say. At some point, I totally forgot that Barrera was beaten by Jones faster than when he fought Pac.

It's easy to forget. Barrera at the time of the Jones fight, had beaten no-one of any realy importance other than Kennedy Mckinney, which really speaks volumes about his resume at the time. After the loss to Jones, he went on to beat the likes of Morales, Hamed and Johnny Tapia, and steadily improved as a fighter. He proved himself after that loss. By the time he fought Pacquiao, he was a more complete fighter in just about every aspect.

As I said before, Pac really did a number on Barrera. Manny pretty much demolished him, as opposed to Poison Jones just cracking MAB with a good punch that he couldn't recover from. Not really a demolishon in the true sense of the word.

I was probably a bit hasty to jump the gun and attack your first comment, you were right in a sense. It's just ESB......it get's to me at times :yep:nut.

I picked Spinks to win this just like I picked Clay over Liston and Holyfield over Tyson.

No one ever mentions Sugar Ray Robinson getting beat for the very first time by Jake Lamotta.
