I see a lot of people try to **** on Tysons resume and claim he only beat past it fighters (one guy just claimed he stayed away from anyone hungry)

He made his debut in March 1985, and won the heavyweight title of the world in November 1986, aged 20 years old.

The year he won the title the top ranked fighters consisted of.

    Michael Spinks, Champion
    1. Mike Tyson
    2. James (Bonecrusher) Smith
    3. Pinklon Thomas
    4. Tim Witherspoon
    5. Tony Tubbs
    6. Trevor Berbick
    7. James (Buster) Douglas
    8. Tony Tucker
    9. Frank Bruno
    10. Tyrell Biggs

In and around '86 the top ranked fighters in the HW division were

    Tim Witherspoon

    James Douglas

All of these were ranked in the top 10 at one time or another. Two of them champions. He literally went through the entire top 10 one by one and beat them, while having the belt (with the exception of Witherspoon, who was being ****ed by Don King and then was KO'd by Smith in round 1 - who Tyson beat, and Douglas who beat him in '90) He didn't avoid anyone, he fought practically every top ranked opponent that was available.

    That's amazing in anyones book.

He had a very obvious fall from grace but from 1985 until late 1989 he was phenominal and one of the most complete fighters I've ever seen. Even after his loss in 1990 and problems with his team and trainers and a style that was a shade of what he once was he still went on to knock out Ruddock, and knock out Bruno again.

He was a very very special fighter in his prime.

That's insightful. It's hard to judge a resume if you were not watching boxing seriously at the time like myself. The think is that some of his fans proclaim him as GOAT but he lacks wins against HOF and ATG in their primes. But as you note his pre prison run was very solid.

there arent many fighters that have prime ATGs on there resume, he went 41-1 in his prime, wiped out a whole devision in devestating fashion, youngest champion, becames champion in round 2.
only one to unify individualy, first to unify.
i think his resume and acheavments pre prison are very good!
because he has been made a god over the years people tend to pick and look into flaws the think he has and make out he is ****!
the douglas fight for eg, he wasnt right in the fight and thats down to him, but he never folded like some say he stayed in the fight the whole time and tryd to win ebven though he was taking one serious beating!
when he finally went down he tryd to get back up for some more!
in my eyes thats not someone who folds easy.

I agree with you mate, people do tend to overrate Tyson, but they forget that he achieved things that will never be seen again.

 ain't nobody claiming Khan is one of the ATG's like you Tyson nuthuggers do.

Tyson has been knocked SILLY by Douglas, Holyfield twice, Lewis, that irish bum. . .

Hahaha he's been KTFO'd so many damn times. .

LOLOL and all his fans say is. . "Well IN HIS PRIME. . " (which is like 3 years LOLOLO) he would have beat anybody. .

Tyson was a bum.. Who got exposed by Douglas.. . ANd unlike Khan, who beat the count, Tyson got his ass laid out for the ten count.

Tyson is one of the greatest in his division thats ever lived. Thats why guys like Holyfield and Lewis were desperate to cement their legacies by beating him.

He wasnt kod in the first round though by a homeless bum

Tysons more popular in Khans country than Khan is. In fact Tysons more popular than Khan is in his own household

He did beat everybody when he was in his prime? he was the undefeated undisputed heavyweight champion and was 36-0. Dont worry Khan will get there one day when he beats Mayweather and Pacqiao

Khan didnt even get to the 10 count, the ref stopped the fight because Khan was seeing 3 referees

David Haye would have mauled post prison prime Tyson to pieces. Any version of Tyson never beat anybody as good as a prime Hayemaker.

That is a possiblity, but its also highly likely that The Hayemaker may do a Bruce Seldon when he steps in the ring with Mike Tyson

    Tyson > Ettienne > Brewster > Wlad > Broken Toe :)

At least Tyson fought all of the best fighters of his era when they were still good unlike chery picker Lennox who waited for everyone to be old and washed up.

Prime Tyson KO Lewis in 2.

Mike Spinks was as good if not better than Haye. You're just a troll. Haye would never fight Tyson. Haye had like 7 HW fights against 5 bums.
