Im all for fighters making as much money as they can, its a tough game, but do you not agree Larry would have been better suited fighting a more appropriate contender? In between he squeezed lots of recorded sparing sessions vs bums , losing a decision 2 1 of them and losing a decision 2 d glorified sparing partner in Ernie Terrell , and after all of this he proved himself as a worthy challenger to Ali .

Patterson was virtually undefeated since his loss 2 Ali , 3 years earlier , in which he had a problem with his back .
It is good 2 have former champions getting repeated shots when they r in fighting shape .

 

Weaver had 4 stoppage losses and 4 decision losses prior his shot at Holmes . Duane Bobick had a better record and stopped Weaver but retired because of his **** record .
