The research itself took a year then another year to actually write it up, soon as it was ready to publish Lewis was no longer the last Undisputed champ so have to go back with updates

Here's a bonus fight for anyone still deciding if they should buy a copy

Main Event: Joe Frazier vs. Mike Tyson

For our main event we have a very personal affair. In 1986 Joe Frazier watched in horror as a ruthless Mike Tyson dispatched of his son Marvis Frazier in just thirty seconds: Tyson’s fastest victory of his career.

Frazier is pissed and demands Tyson face him in the ring so he can return the favour. Being an Ali fan, Tyson goads Frazier, saying he will lay the same beating on him.

Once the fight is signed, the animosity between the two is clear. Frazier is coming for Tyson’s head and for some reason Ali has joined Tyson’s corner as a favour to Cus. Both look to be taking a little too much pleasure in taunting Frazier.

Both fighters are similarly sized. Frazier is an inch taller and has two inches in reach but weighs about ten pounds less. Head-to-head, Tyson clearly hits harder with both hands, is much faster and has the stronger chin, but heart and stamina are firmly in favour of Frazier, who can fight at a blistering pace. Also, Frazier’s left hook is probably the best in history and can finish just about anyone.

Smokin’ Joe has never wanted to win a fight as badly as he does against Tyson, even more so than against Ali in the Thrilla in Manila. He’s trained extremely diligently and on fight night is in tip-top shape and ready for all-out war.

Tyson has been fully focused himself and is under no illusion of the task ahead; he’s ready and firing on all cylinders.

As the fighters face off the ref is giving his final instructions and Ali is hopping around behind Tyson, shouting at Frazier, calling him a Gorilla and saying anything else that comes into his head.

Cus has to tell him to settle down as he can see the effect it’s having on Frazier. To say he’s angry is an understatement. He has venom in his eyes and only one thing on his mind: complete annihilation of Tyson.

Everyone has cleared the ring and the bell sounds. Wasting no time, Frazier comes out and goes for broke, completely disregarding all strategy. The first punch is a huge left hook by Frazier that sends Tyson down, – a flash knockdown that Kid Dynamite shakes off and is now pissed himself.

Fighting resumes and Frazier comes gunning in, but Tyson’s got his senses and lands a hard jab and follows it up with a nice body shot. They tie up and go into ropes.

Once apart Tyson starts to use his movement and comes in bobbing and weaving, avoiding Frazier’s jab and landing a couple of great left hooks then a right uppercut. Frazier feels these and Tyson senses this. Tyson throws a beautiful right to the body and follows it up with a right hook and Frazier is down.

Two knockdowns in the first minute and both fighters are going for broke, fully intending to take the other out.

Frazier gets up and the round continues.

Towards the end of Round One Tyson makes a mental note to avoid Frazier’s left hook by either moving to his left or keeping his right hand up and tight to his chin.

In the last thirty seconds of the first both start trading. Frazier is struggling to land his power shots and Iron Mike’s firepower is just too much. Frazier eats another uppercut and is forced to take a knee. He gets to his feet and survives the round.

Both fighters are feeling the effects of a frenzied opening and come out for the second raring to go. Tyson’s using his superior hand and foot speed to land some excellent combinations that rock Frazier to his boots. Tyson is able to land another hard right which sends Frazier down again for the third time.

Once again, he beats the count and marches forward. Tyson has got his timing down perfectly and with Frazier’s come-forward crouching style playing perfectly into his attacks, he’s feeling pretty confident. Another left hook sends Smokin’ Joe down with ten seconds to go. The bell rings and Frazier stumbles to his corner.

Tyson’s corner is telling him not to take his foot off the gas or get complacent, Frazier is an all-time great and always dangerous. “Keep your head about you, use your boxing skills and speed to set up your shots. Don’t look for the KO,” they urge.

Once Round Three begins Tyson heeds the advice and comes in throwing great jabs, hooks and some brutal uppercuts when up close. Frazier just doesn’t have an answer and after suffering another two knockdowns the ref waves the fight off. Frazier is vehemently protesting but Eddie Futch climbs into the ring, consoling his fighter.

Both Tyson and Ali show their respect to their fallen brother and apologise for their behaviour leading up to the fight.

Verdict: TKO win to Tyson in Round Three.

Do you want dissent or would that only be offensive?

If you got different opinions let me know that's the whole point of the book

Great idea for a book. Even if I disagree with everything I would still love to read it. Hoping there's a big pay off for all the work you put in this cool, original project.

I applaud you for completing your project.

While I've only read the matchup you provided in this thread, and I know this is a book of fantasy matchups, I'm not sure why you pitted a 42-year-old Joe Frazier (who only had one fight in the previous 10 years ... against Jumbo Cummings ... and Joe didn't win that) against a 20-year-old Mike Tyson in 1986. (You said he wanted revenge for Marvis, I get that. But Frazier was long-retired by that point.)

Or why Ali, who could barely speak and had trouble walking in 1986, would be in Tyson's corner insulting Joe Frazier and giving Tyson between-rounds advice.

Or how/why Cus, who was dead by then, would know Tyson was going to fight Joe Frazier or even want Ali in Tyson's corner. (Ali didn't even go to D'Amato's funeral. Other than a brief period when Ali was in exile, they didn't have much to do with each other.)

I know it's fiction, but I don't quite get the premise.

Is it all-time greats at their best fighting each other?

Or are you pitting champs against each other at a time when they actually could've met (but didn't)?

    Just asking.

I see what you mean there would be no point in a past prime Frazier against Tyson.

This is hypothetical and the only fair way would be for the prime versions of the fighters to go up against each other, for the record the write up was a prime Tyson against prime Frazier

Bringing in Cus and other characters is a way to add depth to the fights and backstory and highlight other interesting personalities and how they would interact with each other

Prime Frazier would have Yank in his corner, though. Futch wouldn't be calling the shots.

And Joe wouldn't have a grown son the same age as him to avenge.

Just REALLY kinda reads like the cover wasn't the only thing AI generated.

I think your analysing things a little too closely, it's just hypothetical fights something all boxing fans think about

Also if you think the cover or text is AI generated you clearly don't know what your talking about why don't you try using AI to come up with something and let me know how it turns out

Finally do you disagree with the outcome of the fight? Can you see Frazier surviving the early onslaught?

The rest is just to make things interesting otherwise it's a book of repetitive fights, who do you think would have won prime for prime

Dude, you were posting your AI-generated covers on THIS site and asking people what they thought of them. And people were telling you Ali is too muscular, etc. And you'd make changes.

Maybe you should've posted your AI generated copy, too. People could've helped you get your facts straight.

You mean the prototype cover to get ideas, the cover that is used now is not AI generated and you should be able to tell just by looking at it

Also this doesn't mean the text itself is AI generated which you claim is, not sure why your so negative really don't understand people like you. Please don't be offended but if your unhappy in your life or have issues you can talk to someone hell feel free to DM me but spewing crap online won't make you feel any better

Dude. You asked for feedback on a boxing forum.

Your timeline is a mess. You got basic boxing facts on major players in the sport wrong. You have a virtually mute Ali yelling insults and working a corner. A dead guy asking Ali to work Tyson's corner. The wrong guy in Frazier's corner calling the shots if Joe's in his prime. If Joe's in his prime, the son he's out to avenge is practically the same age as him.

We all like pretty graphics, but you can't bluff content. Even a fantasy has to have some coherent plot.

Don't insult people because you messed up.
