So are you saying he would have slumped over and been asleep had the right hand not connected? m'man, the headbutt stunned the **** out of him, no doubt.... but theres also no doubt that holts right hand put torres to sleep, so in which, the KO is from Holts right hand. In fact, if you rewatch the fight and its different angles and a bit slowed down (i have the fight and have watched it a million times and you need a different angle to see), you can see that Torres slightly regains his balance himself and starts to put his hands up as the right hand lands.... and yes, Torres was dominating the fight, which was not even a round. All of this is a bit ridiculas and im not quite sure why we are going over this :huh but ya man I was rooting for Torres and think he probably would have won if it wasnt for the heabutt, and like you said i would have loved to see a rematch, but i think that KO took a lot out of Torres, if you think about it he was down for awhile and it was kinda scary.... Torres took some time off and then came back but hasnt done anything major since, id like to see him get back down to 140 and add to the excitement there but who knows. His last fight was a nice win because you could tell how happy torres was to get it (stoppage win) so that was nice but id like to see him get one more crack at some ranked opponents. but anyways, not quite sure what theres really there to argue man, Holts right hand is what put Torres to sleep, the headbutt simply allowed the opening to be there and also softened torres up for the punch.
Hahaha you've got a point man, I'm not sure how this turned into an argument. I wish he could come back and join the fun at 140 too. :good
- Vargas vs Rivera - when Vargas goes down to a short, crisp right hand. Its not the most UNexpected of things because it was so short coming back from such a brutal fight but i also dont think anyone expected Rivera to hurt vargas as bad as he did or to put him down like that... let alone at that juncture of the fight with no warning.
- Castillo vs Corrales 2 - You got the sense they were picking up where they left off, and right when the fight really starts cooking, and you wonder how can they continue to take these shots for another fight, the walls come crashing down as Corrales is left sprawled and gasping from short left hook from Castillo that went off like a shotgun blast, and just like that, the fight is over.
Donaire-Darchinyan that was unexpected. Darchinyan was undefeated and invincible at the time, and Donaire was a major underdog. After 4 rounds it was surprisingly close where Donaire was giving Darchinyan some trouble, then in the 5th BOOM! Down goes Darchinyan in a KO of the Year Canidate.
- Urango vs Bailey - Most expected the hard headed Urango to cruise through Bailey, however, Bailey was able to floor Urango and hurt him in a way that had never been done previously, and it was a testiment to Urangos chin and toughness (and to Baileys ageing legs) that he was able to make it through and mount his own impressive win
McGirt-Brown in round 10. McGirt was going back into a corner then fought himself off of it then scored a right hand-left hook sending Brown to the canvas.
wow my dude just stop, the fight should have been a NC end of story stop trying to deny it. there was a total of no more then 5 seconds from the headbutt to the KO there is NO doubt in my mind if that headbutt didnt happen the fight would have been VERY different.
this pisses me off man - i never like Castillo but after this when the douche didnt even get near the contracted weight cause he knew chico would take the fight anyway...such a shame and such a deliberate act
