Since 1970 we have only had 9 undisputed world heavyweight champions.

Will Fury or Usyk be next? Will we EVER have another?

My 2 cents for anyone interested. Cheers!

Great video Paesano. I fully agree that there are too many belts and too much politics and I would add corruption in boxing which prevents undisputed champions. The sport becomes degraded and the fans suffer as do the fighters. Undisputed appears to be on the way to being a distant memory.

Got to give credit to Mike Tyson for scraping all the belts together one by one and fighting for the lineal.

If and it's a big if, when Usyk and Fury fight ,the winner will almost certainly be stripped of at least one belt within weeks. It feels like the whole heavyweight division is being held hostage by promoters, fighters, and alphabet organizations .

Whichever belts get stripped become meaningless. Everyone knows that the winner of this fight is the true champion and that picking up the vacant straps will mean nothing.

If any Heavyweight ever becomes Undisputed Champion again, it will not last very long, unfortunately.

If Fury takes on Usyk (which is very questionable) we will finally have another undisputed

and it’ll be the first time it’s a Ukrainian

It'll be Fury. How do I know? Because I want Usyk to win. But does unified / undisputed really mean anything anymore. The winner will be immediately stripped. Undisputed feels like a bit of trivia at this point, like the lineal champion. Fans decide who the real champion is anyway in this era of multi belts.
I've asked this elsewhere and am still awaiting an answer. How does a sanctioning body get created in the first place? What's stopping more from popping up from out of nowhere? If I were a boxer I would prefer there to be less belts cuz that would mean less fees. How much money will these alphabelt orgs receive when Usyk and Fury fight?
