As far the heavyweights and Wladimir next fight. Bottom line Ibragimov and Chagaev are going fight in Oct then the winner has to fight the winner of Thompson vs Krasnigi before he fights Wladimir.
Wladimir most likely will fight Rahman and then will be forced to fight the Winner of Brock vs Byrd and other title is tied up for about a year with Maskeav having to fight Peter , Vitali and McCall in a row:deal

That fight isn't official, so the speculation must stop.

If Chagaev wins he's clearly the second best heavyweight. Then Wlad should fight him and say screw the belts, the mandatories and even unification. At least I hope it happens that way.

well people are obsessed with maskaev people see him as the heavywieght gatti. he owns the best belt you can own(if there is one) ,everyone wants to fight him, he looks the weakest title holder. ect

but in overall there hasnt been a unification in 7 years.....actually there have only been
    jimmy ellis-frazier
    mike tyson- spinks
    holyfield-moorer II
    lewis -holyfield II

only those have regrouped the belt together to one champion or at least made him own the largest percentage of belts.

a unification is the way to atg already it's rare it's good credentials and makes him the best man in the division.

. . . because there hasn't been a unification in this division for quite a long time now and there's a great posibility of it happening very soon.

It's a fair question, but for a different reason. Unification has always been the BC, BF, and BA belts. and Chagaev vs Ibragimov only includes the BA and BO belts. Now, I'm all in favor of adding the BO to the equation but it hasnt been done.

So Klitchsko BF and the winner of Maskaev vs Peter BC must be included for UNIFICATION to happen!! I've questioned the unification discussion prior and have yet to see any meaningful response.

Further?? Gottschalk is pointing out that THE LIKELYHOOD of yet another MIS-MANDATORY popping up is IMMINENT. It's the politics of BULL**** which play a major role in not having unification MORE OFTEN:good

What happens after everyones next fight doesn't matter. We would know who the top dogs are and they can vacate belts. For example Wlad v Ibrag for IBO. We would still know they are WBA, WBO and IBF champ even if they don't have the belt. The belts just make it a better situation, keep unity, impose dominance, increase your legacy etc

Come on Vantage, you know full well alphabet crap means nothing, and that Holyfield/MoorerII and Lewis/HolyfieldII were not unification matches...

When Evander and Michael fought again Foreman was champ, and Lennox was already champ by the time he fought Holyfield.
