Miguel Cotto is a former WBC/Ring/Lineal 160lbs champion without ever fighting at or over the 160 limit in his entire career.
It definitely would be but 4x no mas in a row is a feat no one will achieve any time soon regardless. You know his skill is real when pro boxers become so insecure they quit. How many of them quit when being mauled by a savage punched? Not too many. These guys just lose hope and want to hide in a closet because nothing they do works which is even more bizarre.
Pete Rademacher floored the undisputed heavyweight champion in his first pro fight. I doubt we'll ever see that matched.
It may be, It's been about a decade since I've read Bowen/Burke. On the surface of the affair I want to say no because in LPRR rounds where downs so that 275er had at least 274 downs. Maybe they used some form of mixed rules for the 8hr 110 rounder. What I'm saying is it's been so long I can't remember if the Bowen/Burke fight was fought with round being timed or controlled by downs. I'll look into later today if no one else does.
Seansak Muaungsurin became world WBC light welterweight champion in his 3rd pro fight. He then lost it in his 6th & regained it in his 7th pro fight hence becoming a two time WBC world champion in only his 7th pro fight!! Honourable shout out to the legendary warrior Veeraphol Sahaprom who won the WBA Bantamweight strap in his 4th pro fight....he’d only been a pro boxer 9 month!!!!
Bit of a smaller scale one but if frank buglioni wins his next fight he will be first boxer to win the lonsdale belt outright by beating all undefeated fighters.
I commissioned an artist to do me a 300 x 250 oil painting of this one http://www.diggersrealm.com/mt/jones.johnson.sep.25.2004.jpg
yep, great achievement. More people should be mentioning this on the forum. Surprised it was hardly mentioned
