Someone I know says there are ~10 of his fights that he found in Burmese Newspapers which are not on Boxrec. He's not interested in logging them himself, and whoever he reached out to at Boxrec was unresponsive. Just leaving this information here in case anyone ever needs it. The library resource he used: http://www.nlm.gov.mm/
Boxrec is a fantastic resource. But it's true many records are incomplete. Even the great Sugar Ray Robinson's is supposedly missing fights..or at least was. The former ATG poster burt bienstock was actually present at at least one of them and mentioned wasnt displayed on the 'Rec.
Look at Mayorga’s record. His pro debut vs Aranda in 93 has long been thought of as his first pro fight. Now apparently he has 5 before that.
I recall that thread and IIRC concluded Burt was misremembering. People scoured newspaper accounts for what was a high enough profile fight that there would have been some mention of it the local press and … zilch. It seemed as if perhaps he was cross-referencing two different fights in his head — some fight that took place at that location and some Robinson fight (like if I remember correctly, Robinson did fight that guy but not when and where Burt thought it happened). But yes boxrec is always a work in progress on historic fights. Researchers find evidence of them from time to time and update.
