Unpopular Opinion. I think Deontay Wilder hits harder than Earnie Shavers

11 defenses 9 wins that decade Wladamir 12 defenses 11 wins you may try to fudge things to make your lover look better but the facts are facts Wlider did not have the most defenses the last decade.

We are comparing apples to oranges. Wilder's power is different than Shavers. Wilder's power largely comes from generating leverage and having a ton of snap on his punches. Wilder also catches opponent with punches that they don't see because of his speed and awkwardness. Ernie Shavers is heavier-handed but does not have nearly as good of a delivery system. Shavers' punches seem to have a much more lingering effect where even glancing blows will make an opponent look out of sorts. Shavers' punches would probably feel like 15 lb bowling balls.

Just because you suck off a bum and try to distort things to suit your agenda about him doesn't mean a lot of people don't see right through you.

By the way you brought up Wins and losses to try to fit your agenda... you are wrong either way.. Wladamir reigned until 11-28-2015.. so five years and
332 days Wilder won his title on 1-28-2015 so 4 years and 348 days of that decade.... hell you can add in Wilders reign in 2020 on top of it and Wilder still would have less time despite adding 53 days to his total... Clown

I said longest reign in the last decade.

Also, for the last one thousand six hundred years, a new decade has begun in the year ending in 1.

The 21st century began on Jan. 1, 2001.

The last decade began on Jan.1, 2011.

This decade began on Jan 1, 2021.

All your dick sucking jokes have done is derail this thread.

You probably don't even know who Earnie Shavers is. You haven't typed one thing about him.

Bye now. I am done with you.

I don't find Shavers overrated as he was universally recognized as the hardest hitter by everyone who fought him however Wilder did the same ... most of his opponents were thirty pounds overweight or juiced so I'd say they were both there ,

No based on the fact that he knocks out giants like nothing. Whos earnie shavers largest opponent ? He has crazy power as well. But it seemed like he was punching around 200 pound guys not 240+ pound guys

Not entirely but to an extent. Larger 240+ pound heavyweights on average hit quite a bit harder and have a better chin than smaller 210 pound heavyweights. This isnt always the case but on average it is.

Wilder blasted away Super Heavy Weights while shavers blasted away modern day cruiserweights. Wilder at 214 is similar in weight to Shavers but wilder is FAR taller and uses his longer reach and leverage to put everything into his punches.

Based on evidence Wilder Probably hits harder. Not saying Wilder is better. But maybe im wrong. Wilder has speed and shavers has raw strength so shavers may very well be more heavy handed. Maybe its just different types of power being compared

Wilder is more talented than Earnie Shavers was. Throws straighter shots. Is a better finisher when he has a guy hurt (if he doesn't kill them with the first shot that puts them down). Hits harder. Routinely knocked out guys who outweighed him by 20, 30 and 40 pounds. (Wilder hasn't outweighed an opponent in NINE years). Has a better chin. Was never knocked out by the likes of Ron Stander. Never got outboxed and lost decisions to hopeless nobodies like Bob Stallings. Wilder won more amateur titles. Won more pro titles. Held the WBC heavyweight title for half a decade. Made 11 title defenses (11 more than Shavers).

And, I'm going to go out on a limb and say Wilder knocks out 199 pound Jimmy Ellis. And given how poorly Shavers did with big heavys (for his era) like Mercado and Tex Cobb ... Earnie isn't even beating the likes of Dominic Breazeale. Breazeale knocks out Shavers.

    But that's just me. (LOL)

When you say Wilder throws straighter shots, generally that is not saying much. H2H, Wilder would probably beat Shavers 8 out of 10 times. Breazeale has no defense; Shavers would beat him 7 out of 10 times.
