Members of the "are you an Ali hater?" cult were responsible for both Norton and Young getting screwed out of the heavyweight title.
Rocky Marciano is overrated. Prime Joe Louis beats Marciano Foreman possibly beats Ali in an immediate rematch.
Although I'm a big fan of Roberto Duran, there has always been this big thing that he beat the snot out of Sugar Ray Leonard in their first fight, which I don't find true at all. Very close fight that could have gone either way. I have the old magazines from that year and Boxing Illustrated gave the fight to Leonard 8-7 as did one of my other mags (not sure which one)
I got ridiculed for saying the same thing here a while back. I think McGrain scored the fight for Leonard by a point too.
Lennox Lewis is Top 15 best and was PED abuser. Marvin Hagler is Top 15 @160 best. Jack Dempsey would be Champion today. GGG is vastly overrated. Thomas Hearns is the greatest fighter ever.
I disagree about Foreman beating Ali in an immediate rematch. Would have been more of the same. Maybe even more one sided for Ali. George would have stood a better chance with a post Manila Ali. Marciano is quite fairly rated on here. Prime Louis beating prime Rocky is n't an "unpopular opinon" by any means
I'm starting to believe Joe Louis would be stopped by Mike Tyson. Definitely unpopular, tho certainly not outlandish i think.
Ali didn't win a single fight against Norton. If boxing was fair, history would have had a lot of completely different heroes.
Pacman lost to Bradley in 1st fight 115-113 Hypothetical matches and time travelling boxers to different era's is pointless - pure speculation what if questions lesser known historical champions and contenders making better reading material than great champions
