Yep, i just can't see him staying on his feet though. It would be one of those WOW moments, i think he would get flattened tbh.

Julio Ceasar Chavez KO 2 Roger Mayweather
Julio Ceasar Chavez TKO 10 Roger Mayweather
Julio Ceasar Chavez W12 Rocky Lockridge
Julio Ceasar Chavea W12 Juan LaPorte
Julio Ceasar Chavez TKO 11 Edwin Rosario
Julio Ceasar Chavez TKO 12 Meldrick Taylor

All of these were better wins than his win over a badly faded version of Camacho.

You are the type of poster that makes me cringe - quick to attack and otherwise go off on other posters, but grossly lacking in knowledge.

Old Foreman wouldn’t fight Wilder though. He knew what he was doing with matchmaking. He didn’t fight Ruddock, Lewis, Tucker, Bruno, Holmes, etc. He wouldn’t make the fight.

I don't think he was a "hype job"

He was a good, dangerous fighter for a few years.

I agree he couldn't beat prime Holyfield or Bowe, or '88 Tyson (he didn't even beat '91 Tyson).

But he'd have a good shot of beating early '90's Foreman.

Contrary to the view of Combatboxeo, Ruddock was much better and dangerous in 1990-91 then a faded, inactive Gerry Cooney.

Ruddock was faster than George, and had huge power. He could also box a bit, if he wanted to .

It's true that he didn't really show much movement in '90-91 but he showed he could take a punch or two against the speed and power of a somewhat faded but still highly dangerous Tyson.

He might get caught and hurt by Big George, but I can envison a scenario where he busts up George badly with power punches.

George could take a shot, but I can see Ruddock finishing the job unlike Alex Stewart, who beat George up badly in the early '90s time frame.

I would favor '90-'91 Ruddock to beat George Foreman.

    NO

Ruddock hit harder than Cooper and as hard if not hardler than Morrison.
And, Cooney was nowhere near prime when he fought George.

And that was not anywhere near a prime Ruddock that Morrison beat.

Morrison beat via premature stoppage with nothing left in his tank.

Basilio never beat Robinson. I actually gave poor Carmen 4 rounds in their first fight. he's just so puny, that his best shots had virtually no effect and that Robinson did most of the scoring

I dont think he wouldve destroyed Eddie but Saad wouldve won. Eddie is a lackluster and lazy fighter with not much will to win, that is true

and yes, prime Camacho would indeed have outsped and outclassed Chavez
