Rooney would have told Mike how to adapt, he told him how to adapt to Tucker`s jab, I`ve seen a vid about Mike adjusting while having Rooney in his corner. Holy said he worked out how to beat Tyson fighting Bowe in their second clash.

Is that the future wife that conned him out of his millions and left him bankrupt?

Tyson hasn’t plenty of flaws when Rooney was still around. Kevin was no magician.

Don't think so. Her name was Janice and they married a month after the first Tyson-Holyfield fight.

Andy Ruiz’s beatdown of Joshua. There was a lot more strategy than he’s being credited for.

Tyson was awesome v Spinks, he was on his way to being a heavyweight Loma, he was getting better with every fight.

Yes I read around then that she kept $100 million of Holy`s money while he kept $1 million in his account, real henpecked husband.

But he was awesome for 91 seconds in that fight.

When taken deeper in that part of his career he would forget his jab and head movement and throw a couple bombs and clinch.

He still didn’t look like a heavyweight Loma though.

And he looked out of ideas when Bonecrusher Smith went into survival mode against him. He stopped jabbing, neglected to move his head (which saw him tagged in the fights dying seconds) and did nothing on the inside.

Rooney era Tyson was better but he wasn’t perfect nor unbeatable.

He getting there and Smith hold on far too much in that clinchfest, boneclutcher was nowhere near Tyson`s level or Tucker`s who fought far better in his respective bout v Tyson.

Bonecrusher wasn’t near Tyson’s level but Tyson couldn’t put him away because he ran out of ideas of what to do with a big guy intent on survival and that’s with Kevin Rooney in his corner.

It’s a nonsense to say Tyson was this flawless fighting machine with Rooney training him and he automatically became flawed when Rooney left. Tyson always had weaknesses that a good fighter could exploit , it’s just that they became more apparent when Tyson’s passion for the sport waned which coincided with Rooney leaving.
