I hear you, but if we're talking about the 80s and earlier, the list of heavyweights who could've exploited Tyson's flaws to the point of winning would be very short if existent.

 

For sure.

I’m not saying anyone could but a physically strong, intelligent guy with toughness and chin and an understanding of range control could turn the trick. There’s not been that many who have these attributes in the abundance needed to beat prime Tyson. I think theres a couple but of course I can’t prove it (neither can I be proven wrong), just my opinion.

 

Azumah Nelson over Jeff Fenech rematch . Fenech was on a tear until
the draw and mentally was never the same after what Don King did to
him out of greed. Nelson showed though in the rematch why they called him
the Professor.

 

To some degree yes, but his strat basically was, keep your left hand high, don't let CroCop set by continually coming forward. My issue is, that really shouldn't have disrupted his gameplan. CroCop is not only the better kicker but all the better puncher. In K1, he let his hands good, and he had a solid straight left hand. If with Fedor's strat, he still should've been letting his hands go more, but instead he was fixated on the kick and not getting taken down. So I see where you're going, and agree to an extend.
