Unstoppable force meets the Immovable Object: Jake Lamotta vs Roberto Duran

Lamotta by decision. Too big, too good, and a bad style matchup for Duran at the weight as well.

 

Not really a fair matchup for Duran as he was best at 135. He would have to work a lot harder in this and at 33 yrs old.. Result is stated above ^^^

 

Duran could make Jake look bad and fight a close fight. I favor Jake by decision.

 

Duran wouldn't be able to hurt him ,only try to bust him up. Goes the distance and Jake would probably get the nod.

 

As great as Duran was, Lamotta is not going to go down against him.

Lamotta will go through hell, but he will outwork the incredibly skilled Duran in a very close fight. I see this like the Hagler/Duran match. But Lamotta will not give Duran the chance to box with him.

 

Awesome fight .Duran in the ring with someone as crazy as he is.Jake on points in a tough battle.

 

Can you imagion the body punching clinic put on? Terrific matchup! Jakectoo stong and tough and ferocious for middleweight Duuuuran. But what a great fight while it lasts..whether the whole 15 or less

 

Duran might get him to cut or swell up with a foul but otherwise jake outworks him. great fight.

 

This fight shows up Durans natural size difference like no other fight he was in. I don't think he heres the final bell to be honest. Like someone above already stated, Lamotta doesn't give Duran the room to box so eventually he'll sit down on his punches and have to trade some and stand with Lamotta more. Eventually I see after a see saw affair it becoming harder and harder for Duran to match Lamotta and he gets swamped. Maybe he lasts the distance !
