Welcome to superman1986's thread of unsung great fighters who never got the opportunity to showcase their talents against the big names. Every week I will feature a new fighter. This weeks fighter is Shane Tilyard.

Mr. Tilyard was the Queensland State Heavyweight champion

All I can say is WOW. Compare that to this

I don't see how Evander Holyfield, even at the height of his powers could have lived with Shane Tilyard and his 1 punch KO power.

Leave your comments below about the unfortunate politics of the sport that kept Mr. Tilyard from showcasing his outstanding talents on the big stage.

Holyfield learned a lot from the Bowe fight, by the second fight he was much smarter and used what he knew vs Tyson and was much improved from the Foreman fight, he was much harder to hit, why does everyone place such a big focus on power, in boxing you need more than that, just ask Shavers!

He looks like a decent clubfighter.

Box rec says he was 6wins 7 losses at the Australian Regional level.

Prime Holyfield Ko 1 this guy

    What's your point.

    Are you high?

haha!!! He is a fine specimen though, u can tell he is serious about the sport and trains hard. I watched the clip of him vs. slice earlier, that's boxing at its best!

After having time to review film and spend time in silent reflection I have come to the conclusion that he wouldn't be a qualified opponent for any version of Holyfield, much less win a fight.

Anyone reading that should know that I created this thread as a joke. I should've saved it for April 1st
