Until someone dies in the ring some of you boxing fans will never understand the risk of weight draining to not only a boxer's career but their long term health.

Yeah Mayweather is ****ed up for draining the **** out of Canelo

What a piece of **** that guy is

  4. 2 pounds is not much. Pac draining ODLH and Cotto to 144 and 147 was.
Roach draining Margarito for a fake 154 championship while having the fight at "150" is draining a fighter my friend.

If you drain yourself that's your fault maybe stop trying to drain yourself and box at your natural weight. It's sad cause some boxers fight at their natural weight while others hydrate themselves up to 20 lbs over which gives them an advantage. At least they think so

Two pounds for a guy that can barely make 154 in the first place is pretty bad

Yes Pacquiao drained the **** out of a few guys in his time too

A lot of guys do it

I'm basically saying, stop trying to discredit these wins solely on the basis of catchweights

And if you're gonna do that, then at least be consistent

I say we put Rico in a sauna for 72 hours with no food or water, get him good and drained and then put him in the ring with a trained heavyweight and sacrifice him to help educate the common boxing fan ;)

2 pounds is not much, but 3 pounds is a lot :think

Even though Pac/Cotto was actually at 145, not 144, and so it was 2 pounds just like Canelo/Floyd :think

I'm glad we have you here to sort these things out.

It's Roach's favorite strategy: win the fight before it even starts. Cotto deserves no credit for beating a dry Daniel Geale, just like Pacquiao deserves no credit for beating a dry Miguel Cotto.

Tell that to Freddie Roach, weight draining has made him trainer of the year countless times

Yeah, shame on Mayweather for making Canelo come in looking like Denis Leary on a crack binge.
