Until when does Wlad have to defend against Povetkin?

    I could be wrong but doesn't mandatory status last two years?

    So since Povs won it last June (IIRC) I believe he'd have til June 2010 right?

    Isn't IBF six or nine months? That's why fiighters with a couple of belts nearly always get stripped of the IBF strap first.

    Originally i think the date was september 2007 (one year or so), but then Povetkin got injured and some new regulation applied, but i don't remember exactly the details of that.

    Povetkin became the mandatory after beating Chambers on Jan 26th 2008 so if it's anything under a year then that's passed. I STILL think it's two years though.
