Upcoming PPV's On Main Event In Australia

    I decided to email Main Event PPV to find out whats going on with the upcoming Boxing on the channel post February including Michael Katsidis's matchup in late March.
    Just thought u guys might want to know.....


    Their response:

    We are currently in negotiations for the Katsidis fight (Sunday, March 23). As for other fights coming up in March we are looking to do Maskaev/Peter (Sunday, March 9), Marquez/Pacquiao (Sunday, March 16). Beyond March everything is up in the air – most Boxing doesn’t get confirmed that far out.

    At least Marquez v Pac II is on there. Cheers for that mate.

    I can almost say 100% Katsidis will be on main event guys As i just finished doing up a poster to be used in the FIST magazine. I was told by Brenden Smith to put on it.

    "Coming to you live via the usa into your homes, clubs and pubs on main event, fox and sky channel."

    So I would believe Main Event will get the rights to show it along with it being on Sky Ringside.

    Thanks for all that guys! i always wondered about that... They usually show the Pacmans fights... i really hope they dont screw us with the Katsidis card and not show Billy Dibs fight!

    Yeah they better show Billy's matchup.
    It is the best of the non HBO televised matches & is a world title eliminator.

    Main Event now has the Maskaev-Peter & Pacquiao-Marquez cards up on their site.

    I emailed Setanta about Tarver-Woods showing here and they basically said not going to happen, in another thread some guy claimed they were showing it but he obviously saw the europeon website.

    Good stuff Kegsy, iv already ordered Oleg/Peter.

    And i want to see both the aussie young guns fighting on PPV, far more deserving than Mundine vs Hamden.

    Yeah, Oleg/Peter has a great undercard too, as does Pacquiao's the week later.
    Both well worth it.:deal

    The Setanta website has Haye Vs Macca up live on Sunday same day as Oleg Vs Peter... Ill watch the Setanta one live then catch the peoply at 6:30 of Oleg Vs Peter... Geed to see Juan Diaz as well

    Just emailed main event about Katsidis fight & Cotto's card.


    Their response:

    Looks likely that we’ll be showing the Katsidis fight – just ironing out final details. We have not been offered the April 13 event to date.

    Thats all they said.
    Dib aint fighting on it anymore, so i would assume Katsidis match, Andrade-Steiglitz title eliminator & prob best off HBO match from the undercard.
    Still half decent if u ask me.:good
