I think Prograis is a fantastic boxer Jim and has great inside work which will give Catterall major problems. He throws many more punches per fight than Jack so will comfortably out work him and win a decision. I think Catterall is decent, but in my opinion Prograis is top drawer.

I think we all feel for Catterall after being robbed for all the belts last year Jim. That shot for all of them together is probably once in a lifetime, which is backed up by Taylor relinquishing the 3 original ones since their fight.

I always root for one of our guys against any American and would like him to beat Prograis, but cannot see him winning. I know neither of them are particularly big punchers, but Prograis is an elite boxer and for me, does everything better than Catterall. Let’s see what happens mate.

The fights on that card will merge with Joshua Whyte on August 12 if that makes sense. Could see Conway Udofia, Cash Williams, and Wardley against an international opponent on the card. I’m not 100% sure if Cash Williams will be on August 12 though.

July 29 fell through because Dave Allen wouldn’t be licensed to fight for Wardley’s British Title, and they wanted to stack the Joshua-Whyte card.

Frank Smith said Matchroom want to do 18 more shows from August 12 to the end of December, where about 8 will be UK (and Ireland) cards. Matchroom have put on a lot of UK (and Irish) cards this year.

We were promised 12 huge UK shows and then 4 mega UK shows so we should be in for a treat between now until the end of the year as there haven’t been any yet.

    Unless they lied of course.

Thanks for the update - yeh that makes sense, and I'd rather they do things like this than putting needless shows on for the sake of it. As much as we all want quantity, it would be far nicer to see genuine 'stacked' cards, a big main event with 2 or 3 decent names/scraps on undercard and not just prospects, mismatches and womans fights to pad out shows that has been happening recently. This now sounds like it will be a decent card and of intrest to much more fans.

I said before I felt they should of done this with the Edwards card, that was clearly a weak show that was going to struggle, would of been better merging it with tonights show and then could of had 1 good show with a better quality of fights. I will sound like a hypocrite now as I'm going to tonights show (free tickets), but they have ended up with 2 shows on paper that are pretty unappealing. Hopefully a couple of the fights tonight turn out to be unexpected tear ups otherwise I'm going to regret not watching the Manchester show on TV
