The Nextgen Liverpool was clever. Ideally it should have been a Standard Saturday night show but they knew they would get slaughtered. So they made it a nextgen so everyone said it was stacked. Clever.
You said if he wins he should break through on social media to a wider fanbase. My point is that surely if that was going to happen the wheels would be in motion? Yarde shouldn't be a nobody. He's a kid who looks the part, knocks people out, and is fighting a world champion who quite a few casual fans will have heard of on the basis of him smashing up Cleverly a few years ago. It should be such an easy fight to promote yet it's just so far below the radar that to a casual observer it barely registers. Why?
I would still massively disagree with that. I really don’t think this blueprint should be followed even if he does win. This would be outside the norm for someone to fight such limited opposition to this extent and then beat an elite level fighter.
Called you a wally, I’m hardly butthurt. Also you made several responses to fellow posters so I don’t think you can call wind up now matchroom lover x
Yarde has got more Instagram followers than all of them. Also, his Twitter was hacked and he started a new one a few weeks ago. Yarde is a bigger name than all of those despite having basically no amateur career. The Sky lot are Olympians and still completely unknown. Sky machine my ass.
Yarde is 28 and just had a world title fight, he should bigger than any prospect in terms of marketability. Sad thing is Dave Allen is a bigger name than a much more talented Yarde.
