molina has fought james and lara.

james has fought prime angulo and vera(post andy lee ko), molina and julio

rosado has fought prime angulo, ggg and kassim.

as you can see im not hating on anyone.

154 is a deep division and one great win(i dont value the cotto win nearly as much as other people here do) by either canelo or trout does not make them the man of the division.

 

Out of those 3 fights of Lara he got 2 draws and got robbed on his defeat.
Molina drew w Lara and lost to jk
Trout left no doubts when he beat Cotto.
Be aware of the fact that I'm Lara's biggest fan.

 

There was plenty of doubt...Trout is vulnerable regardless of his hand speed and foot work.

okay, i can see where youre coming form with trout as he has fought legit journeyman mw's with lopez and rigoberto so if canelo beats him he beat a guy(trout) that is legit. but the best in the division?

look at kirklands competition. it is better than trouts and you could make a case for lara, rosado and molina as well.

im just saying that if either trout or canelo wins it doesnt grant them top dog status at jmw.

the jmw field is as deep, and at this point, comparable in parity as the smw tourney.

and none of those guys were deemed the top dog until the closure of the tournament.

The beating Canelo will put on trout will make the boxing world recognize who Canelo truly is, and will be, in the future, this is his time. He has been waiting for a moment like this for a long time, to prove himself amongst the best. I just hope one of these guys fights on another level, not like lara and vanes who at the end of everything were the exact same level lara was not anything special and **** as vanes was able to win rounds and make lara look average.

Whoever wins I hope they shine, and its not competitive, one must look spectacular and they will be the JRMW king.

 

For sure but that was also a well aged Miguel Cotto at a weight class Cotto probably should have never been at.

and even then Cotto was able to find a home for his left hooks and his body shots, Trout took them well because he is the bigger younger man.

Cotto didnt fire that many cus to me he looks done as if he cant pull the trigger.

Canelo will pull the trigger what happens then?

 

another interesting thing i noticed from trout cotto is, where the **** was Cotto's right hand all night? I know he's a left handed fighter and prefers to use it, but damn his right hand was missing all night when he did shoot it off it didn't look like he was throwing in an authoritative fashion, I want to see how that will confuse Trout as he is expecting canelo to fight him in the same manner, just to be stronger.

I really want to see what Canelos right hand does to Trouts confidence as cotto Combos and left hooks visibly bothered trout and Canelo has a mean left hook and his best weapon is also his right hand and his combos.

all this has me believe canelo will take the fight easy, once trout feels the power of the right hand to the body and head, also the combinations I don't think trout will be able to handle it. and he will fold.

 

Don't be surprised if the left hook does it for Canelo. Cotto landed flush lefts on Trout.

Somebody has to rank at the top of the division.Nobody can claim the supremacy right now. But in my eyes the winner of this bout takes the top.
I hope Lara fights Molina next, a win over Molina will put him in line for a title shot.

 

ishes ibf mandatory is molina so lara will not be fighting carlos.

erislandry will hopefully get the winner of canelo/trout becuase he is for all intents and puporses the wbc mandatory, especially if floyd doesnt fight the winner.

its funny how people try to make everything revolve around canelo when he is the one guy at 154 that has done the least.

if trout schools alvarez, how could anyone value that more than if he austin schooled kirkland...a proven winner at 154? or lara? molina?

imo, these wins would be far more valuable.
