Update: Arum says the fight is still dead,Schaefer lied

Arum is pissed because the script says Schaefer isn't supposed to say this till Monday. Damned people that can't read their lines and take their cues....

Bob Arum doesn't like any fight where he can't make DOUBLE ROYALTIES. Do you have any idea how much it would pain him to get Floyd Mayweather and Golden Boy Promotions paydays like this?? FFS??? Bob Arum is a ****ing 80 year old billionaire. His need to play god, seem important, burn his enemies, and throw his weight around far outweighs ANYTHING else. Don't worry about how much money Arum stands to make from this fight. His actions CLEARLY indicate he could give a ****. THINK. The fact is this fight will more than likely get made in the end with an even larger audience because of this scandal. The damage done to the reputations of both fighters, especially Manny Pacquiao, and the sport itself, remains to be seen, no matter what happens. Ego war between the 2 CEOs. Once Arum has had some fun with it, I'm sure he's not stupid enough to kill the megafight. He's got nothing to gain and everything to lose if the fight never happens.

 

You have to be fair, Schaefer was the one that released it to the press when things were still on negotiations. These guys were trying to bully and coerce Pacquiao to sign the contract through media pressure. When you end it with a statement like, if he refuses these tests then you can come up with your own conclusion. You can bet your ass he was trying to get people to insinuate that Pacquiao has something to hide.

But Arum isn't a saint either.

Bob Arum is the **** who blew this up in the media. Ask people where this story turned into a forest fire, and 99.9% of them will tell you it was when they read the reports that Arum was telling Golden Boy and Mayweather to "...go to hell!" He's the mother****er that was saying "...the fight is dead!" This has been the Bob Arum Show. As usual.

 

This is about the 5th time I've heard Arum say the fight is dead. I didn't believe it the first time and I sure as hell don't right now. The guy is just throwing temper tantrums.

 

Who can walk away from the biggest fight ($$$$$$$$$$$) in boxing history?
