*UPDATE Gamboa to fight in July under a different promotional company

    That's the word. I'm just bringing it over from the other forum where one of the posters speaks to Gamboa from time to time and that is what Gamboa said. He is fighting under his own promotional company, Ciclon promotions.

    **UPDATE

    From what i've read Gamboa never signed the 2 year extension with TR and that is what angered Arum. They used Gamboa's name to promote the Abril fight. From what i've gathered Gamboa is going to fight in July free of any TR interference and under is own promotional company "Ciclon Promotions". That's awesome.

    Don't know. His lawyer is arguing that his contract with his German promoter is invalid. Because of that, the promotional deal that the German promoter made with Top Rank is also invalid.

    Doubt it. . . Top Rank will file an injunction so fast it'll make his head spin. . . Unless of course, he actually does have a litigation loophole in the contract (which I doubt, since Arum is a master of contracts). . . Or Arum, and Top Rank have came to some kind of buyout agreement, which I also doubt. . .

    But I'm hoping, and praying it's true because Gamboa is an integral part of the pound for pound talent in boxing right now, and he doesn't need to be inactive for two years (which is supposedly how much time he has left with Arum). . .

    Maybe he finally met up with Arum, and worked something out where Arum still gets some kind of cut or something. . . Cause after all that money Arum invested in Gamboa, I don't see them letting him walk away.
